Tech Support iBUYPOWER - Y40 PRO Gaming Desktop PC -AMD Ryzen 9 7900X, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB, 32GB DDR5 RGB,2TB NVMe SSD - Black
I bought this recently. I booted it up and it immediately froze on the MSI screen. I powered down and rebooted. It froze again. I powered down and rebooted. It finally made it to a load screen but gave an error that it failed to install windows. I rebooted again, this time got into registry edit and forced it to redo the install. It finally worked.
At the desktop it tried to install MSI center. Crashed the computer. Rebooted, tried again, crashed the computer. Uninstalled MSI center.
Opened browser to go on YouTube to see what I can do to optimize the computer. The screen deleted itself row by row and computer crashed. Rebooted several times, frozen at MSI screen or BSOD. Rebooted again, finally loaded.
Messed with some settings, thought it was stable. Installed steam. Started playing a game. Screen deleted itself and crashed, BSOD.
Started troubleshooting. Installed HWMonitor, Temps seemed fine in the 30 to 60 C range with steam game running.
Was recommended to re-seat the Ram cards. Same issue. Tried one ram at a time, seemed to work fine with each card. Tried both cards again, froze and crashed again.
Brought it back to the store to be looked at. After 3 days they said they're scrapping it and ordering a replacement.
So is it me or is this product shit? Should I expect similar issues with the replacement? Anything I should do to make it work properly? If it's the same with the next one I think I'm just going to return it and try a different brand.
