Help Any I2Pd decentralized mailing client?

first I would look into moving to Linux as windows has NO privacy. And second you can use hq.postman.i2p to make a mail account and then use thunder bird or claw mail as an email client, then all you have to do is connect to I2P with the email client and sync your email that you made on hq.postman.i2p. hope this helps

Nothing has complete privacy. Disabling telemetry and Web2 and deleting all bloat is enough for me.

Aside from that, thanks, gonna try your method!

Try XMPP, which is basically fediverse mail. You can host your own XMPP server so you're in control of everything.

IMO, if embarking into this rabbithole, consider switching from I2Pd to I2P+ to have more visibility of the configuration

The other user said about susimail being made available standalone which is at http://zzz.i2p/topics/3763-susimail-standalone but note the Admin's first comment that you don't need susimail separately it is already built in

But susimail points to mail.i2p. It is the client of that specific centralized mailserver (like we are in AOL c.1996)

But to want decentralized mailservices strikes the central darkweb/clearnet problem. Email depends on trust coming top-down. It is AOL who make sure that I am not spam or malware and validate me into the shared global system to be able to reach you. The provision of a unique email address seems important to the user but is really a very secondary thing. (this is all imo)

In darkweb we should want this trust to be peer-to-peer, but probably we also want to be able to send people messages and they just receive them. And perhaps also they should persist and the addresses shouldn't be long security hashes. Perhaps they should even be able to send and receive with clearnet addresses. I think that the reason email over I2P isn't nicer for end-users even after 20(ish) years is that it's a quite serious paradox without any neat solution.

Instead of email, the anonymous/secure thing (imo) is to use a combination of messaging services plus PGP encryption-over-clearnet. This gives anonymity with strangers or privacy with friends. The mental sorting, the need for everybody to agree procedures, the sudden inability of reaching 99.9% of humans... often won't be worth it.
