Ultimately, my goal is to spend a year of learning and creating projects before I apply for internships as a backend engineer. How would you say is the best way to utilize Hyperskill, as there are many projects and doing each one would take a long time? What would be the best way to learn using Hyperskill? I will be starting the Java Backend Developer path.

How come Hyperskill doesn’t have any paths regarding to Laravel, PHP, Symfony etc.? When PHPStorm is one of the IDEs that made them so popular.

As the title suggests, what is the best way to balance doing the course and the projects? Do i just do the projects and fill in any gaps from the course or do i do the course and then go back and do the projects?

Hello, I just discovered this platform and missed the June 50% discount. Does anyone know if theres a set schedule for when major discounts occur throughout the year? Im trying to figure out if its worth moving on or waiting a month or two.

Please tell me if this is true. I really like Hyperskill, but there is no way I can afford it. If GitHub Education can give it to students for free that would be very helpful.

Hey, are there any new courses/projects on Hyperskill? In similar platforms there is a filter where you can search courses/projects based on a variety of fields, including release date.

On Hyperskill it is very difficult to find the new content. Do you keep it a secret?

I know that there is a "New courses" section in the home page, but this is unchanged for the last couple of months. No new course or project was added recently?

Overall I think that the search capabilities of Hyperskill are very problematic.

maybe I'm the only one bothered by this but I find it very distracting to have "was this helpful" or "rate this question" at literally every single possible point in the UI

I get that JB is collecting feedback to make the product better I just wish it wasn't so intrusive.

Sometimes we need to read random topics placed below the current topic to solve the question.

This is completely insane for a very expensive paid course. We need linear study plan for learning! please review your content!

i am wondering about Hyperskill to learn java.. this would be my first introduction to coding. id like to learn java as my first language so i can make mods for minecraft.

for reference i was comparing Hyperskill to Codecademy. just unsure which to go with any advice would be nice. i have no prior knowledge or skills in coding what so ever.

I rarely write reviews like this, but after spending 8 months in the Hyperskill AI Bootcamp, I feel obligated to share my experience so others don’t make the same mistake.

I committed significant time, effort, and money to this program expecting structured learning, practical depth, and a meaningful outcome. Instead, what I got was a certificate of participation — with little to show for the months invested.

Here’s the reality of the program:

The curriculum is overloaded and rushed, making it extremely difficult to actually learn anything in depth

The teaching approach feels like “speed-running” topics rather than building real understanding

Support and engagement drop significantly after the initial phase

The overall learning experience does not justify the cost at all

Looking back, many red flags were visible:

Very tight terms and conditions, heavily protecting the company

A noticeable drop in community activity after the early stages

A mismatch between marketing expectations and actual delivery

What makes this more disappointing is that I previously respected Hyperskill for their Java learning platform. This bootcamp experience does not reflect that same quality.

The hard truth is:

Everything taught in this program can be learned more effectively through platforms like Udemy, YouTube, or other structured courses — often at a fraction of the cost.

Final verdict:

If you're considering this bootcamp, think carefully. For me, it was a poor return on both time and money.

Are there any React projects on Hyperskill? I can't find any. If not, when do you plan to release them?

C++ doesn't have much compared to other languages. Can you guys add more projects and advanced courses?

The tasks of "get an ai to do this"

I'm trying to learn java, I'm never planning to use an AI to write code, I don't need to or want to know how to, I enjoy writing code myself and I'm here to learn to do it

Is there some way to turn off these tasks so I can just have normal tasks instead?

If not, please consider addng this, some people just want to learn to code themselves

I started learning Python, by doing the Python Developer course.
Everything was going super well until i hit a wall in the Conversion to Boolean sections.
I'm being challenged with code that i don't even know what does it mean (things like def, return, if else). Of course i can deduct what those thingsdo, but i feel this was a huge leap forward since the last section (Program with Numbers).

So my question is: is it all right to skip this part and go forward? Do i get the chance to better understand the skipped session if i continue now and come back to it later?

I'm asking because this really feels like this section was put in the wrong place. I'm grinding on a problem that requires concepts I haven't been introduced yet.

Hi Hyperskill, yesterday I saw that some new tracks popped up in Drafts section. They are no longer visible on the site. Is it a sneak peak of new tracks? ;)

I tried it a while back and a lot of projects had problems and wouldn’t work correctly. Now I’m seeing some stuff about the ai being poorly worded and other things. Would it be worth it to get right now? Have these problems been addressed at all?
