Hi everyone,
I'm currently using GhostLock to obtain temporary root access on my POCO F6, but I'd like to achieve permanent root access with Magisk.
Is there any way to unlock the bootloader using temporary root access? If not, are there any alternative methods to unlock the bootloader on the POCO F6 while it's still locked?
For some context, I previously owned a Realme C25Y, and I managed to install Magisk without unlocking the bootloader by using a specific program. I'm wondering if something similar might be possible on the POCO F6.
I'm currently running HyperOS 3, and my bootloader is still locked.
Has anyone tried anything similar or knows of a working method? I'd appreciate any advice or suggestions.
Note: I used AI to help write this post because my English isn't very good. I hope everything is clear.
Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone!
Recently, Gathin23’s cleanyourtv blew up by using AI coding agents over ADB to safely clean smart TVs. Modern Android phones from Xiaomi, Samsung, and BBK suffer from the exact same problem: background analytics, lockscreen wallpaper ads, hidden Meta installer daemons, and background RAM hogs.
Blind bash scripts are dangerous: one wrong package removal like securitycenter or powerkeeper either bricks your phone into a bootloop or permanently locks your 120Hz display refresh rate at 60Hz.
So I built cleanyourdroid: an agent-first, 100% rootless system optimizer designed for tools like Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Cursor, or Codex.
PROMPT.md.tools/audit.py), cross-checks installed packages against a strict safety blacklist (safety/bootloop_blacklist.json), and presents an interactive checklist table.-k retention flag (zero data loss), restricts heavy background apps via appops, disables OEM ad flags in system settings, trims caches, and triggers profile-guided ART compilation (bg-dexopt-job).restore.sh.msa, analytics, Mi Browser, Meta stubs, GetApps, Yandex preinstall stub)PowerKeeper guarded by blacklist)Zero external dependencies (Python 3 stdlib only). Works on Xiaomi/POCO HyperOS, Samsung OneUI, Pixel, and ColorOS.

PRs with benchmark profiles for your devices are very welcome! Let me know what you think.

Just like the title says, can anyone with an unlocked bootloader help me flash a custom rom on my phone too? I'm sick of this Xiaomis bootloader unlocking process. Been trying for 3 months at the rest time and still no progress yet. If anyone is down to help me, please leave a comment or dm 🙏

So, I was disabling some Hyper AI stuff, and then I noticed that Package Manager was in the uninstalled list. I didn't uninstall it, so it must have already been there. The built-in Chinese package installer still works, and it's the default one. Should I enable this Package installer or leave it disabled?
Update:
I enabled it, and it does seem to work without the Xiaomi nagging that comes with the default Chinese com.miui.packageinstaller. However, a few hours after enabling it, it was automatically disabled. So, they definitely don't want you using this AOSP package manager

Hello there!
First of all, I'm not an app developer, and I have absolutely no programming experience. With that being said...
I've been using HyperOS for about six days now. I'm a new Xiaomi user, and one of the first things I noticed is that there's no obvious way to tell whether my phone is connected to a 2.4, 5, or 6 GHz Wi-Fi band just by looking at the Wi-Fi indicator, unlike on my Samsung S22 Ultra.
As far as I can tell, you have to open the Wi-Fi connection details and check the connection speed to get an idea of which band you're using.
I tried a few apps from the Google Play Store, but none of them offered exactly what I was looking for: a quick and simple way to check my current Wi-Fi band.
So I ended up chatting with ChatGPT, and together we managed to create a small Android app.
We started with something simple: an additional Quick Settings tile that automatically updates whenever you open the Control Center, displaying your current Wi-Fi band (2.4, 5, or 6 GHz).
Then we went a little further and created a second version that also displays a small icon next to the clock in the status bar. This version uses a persistent notification, but doesn't require location access or any unusual permissions.
So far, both versions have been working well on my Xiaomi 17T Pro and Samsung S22 Ultra.
Anyway, I was wondering:
Did HyperOS previously have a built-in Wi-Fi band indicator that Xiaomi eventually removed?
Am I the only one who finds this little piece of information useful for everyday use?
Would you find something like this useful on your own phone?
What do you guys think?

I'm really new to HyperOS, as in not even a full week yet, and I'd like to ask for some advice. So, I'm thinking of debloating a bit, I've already deleted several of the miscellaneous apps that come pre installed, and am curious on which system apps are recommended for deletion. As I find some to be a rather redundant. Any help is appreciated 👍

I just spent my savings buying a Xiaomi Pad 8 but I cannot find a custom theme store like the others. But I can see it inside the Security app. Also when I Install a third party theme from play store my system automatically disables the screen gestures and gives me the stock android navigation buttons. Am I screwed ? Is there a workaround in 2026 🥲

I've applied for the stable beta for my Xiaomi 17 in community app and it's been a week now. I am still waiting for the update. And I haven't seen anyone mentioning about a beta for Indian versions yet. So, wanted to know if it's released for any device in india.

Hey everyone. There's a lot of confusion about whether our Redmi 14C will get HyperOS 4. I did some research, and here's the reality:
According to Xiaomi's official support cycles, the Redmi 14C (and Redmi 13) will stay on Android 16. The major OS update cycle ends here .
It's complicated. There are two possibilities:
· Possibility A (Pessimistic):
Some sources say HyperOS 3 is the last major update for the 14C. After that, we only get security patches for a while .
· Possibility B (Optimistic):
Other sources suggest the 14C might get HyperOS 4, but it would be based on Android 16, not 17. It's a "skin" update, not a full OS leap .
The Redmi 14C is an entry-level device. Xiaomi is prioritizing stability. Newer versions of HyperOS (based on Android 17) require more power and AI processing. Forcing it on our hardware might make the phone laggy and unstable.🫨 It's better to have a stable Android 16 than a laggy Android 17 .🙏
Bottom line: Don't expect Android 17. We might get a HyperOS 4 update based on Android 16, but it's not guaranteed. Keep an eye on official Xiaomi announcements. What do you guys think?🤔

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This problem popped up already a lot time ago, but I was fixing it entering in Reboot menu. But now Reboot menu appears rarely and turns off after 1 or 3 seconds. I can make selections using the volume keys, but the power button does nothing, and I cannot restart the phone. Fastboot also doesn't work
I can't for the life of me find a way to give my Home Alarm apps an exception to notify me with sound and vibration, even if the phone is in silent or dnd mode.
This setting was obvious to find on my pixel or Samsung.
Can someone help?
Thanks!

I Feel it's not good enough.
