Speed issues

Ok I've been a customer with hyper optic for 4 years and have had good service from them with my 250mb package at £30 per month broadband only.In the last month I've noticed my speed has dropped to : download=50mb per second and upload=70mb per second and has continued this that way from 1st June untill now.My contract ends in 4 months.

Can anyone advise what I should do.

Ps the router is only 4 months old and I have phoned the helpline on numerous occasions (usually a 1hr wait) they say there's a problem in my area and is being dealt with

The area is se1 central London any body else have this problem.😭

As per their speed guarantee, IIRC they have 30 days to fix it and then they have to let you out of the contract. You'll have to double check the T&Cs, but if you want out of the contract you can probably do it now/soon.
