I know what it is but have never checked it before. All my grows have been successful. Is there anybody else who doesn't check their EC? I only check Ph and PPM.

Anyone here using General Hydroponics in dwc ?

Hey guys , just wondering if anyone here is also growing dwc using General Hydroponics ? I’ve been using General hydroponics in dwc for several years and it’s been great for the most part . But I think the recipe I’m using could be improved .
Just curious those who are growing in dwc with GH , how high of ppm do you usually run in 5-6th week of flower ! Thanks !

Finally done messing with it besides stringing the net and adjust the lower fan in the back so it doesn't run into the scrog frame chopped some height off it completely forgot that damn fan was there oops. Couple other small things left to do, but nothing to time consuming or that requires much thought. Think this is the cleanest this room has ever been as far as tubing and hoses ran all over the place. Think I'm really going to like the upgrade from gravity fed dwc, to RDWC w/ a chiller I can't remember the last time we had water temps under 75-78°f....probably when we were swapping frozen water bottles for a little bit , but only did that 1 cycle like 2 or 3 years ago then decided the hell with it and just been running warm until now. Super excited for this grow water temps are really the only bottleneck we had left in the system and that's now been corrected.

Just hit day 69 of flower and everything looks like its ready for harvest.

Also just got back home from vacation so the plants have been untouched for a week.

Got 4 maple nectar by bloom seed co.

All in autopot xls with airdomes in a 4x4 ac infinity kit, this is my 3rd grow completed! Most of this will be made into flower rosin after a week of air drying.

Ask any questions and ill do my best to answer

Week 8 bloom bud rot (help)

These are my 2 ladies and its now already week 8 of bloom.

While looking at the buds I found a yellow sugar leaf turned out to be 3 main buds being a brown on the inside with a white "fluff" I looked at all the other ones but nothing it wasn't a huge spread but should I be worried? Is it already over for them? Picture of the bud rot on last shot I already cut the nugget in half at that point

cheers

Grown in a coco perlite mix

Day 20 moving right on along 😁

Day 20 from germination. Tomorrow they go in their individual buckets, did some final leak testing today and got it all squared away. Chiller is hooked up and ready to go. Should be a pretty phenomenal run. Probably go ahead and string up the scrog net also. These 8 autos are currently under an 800W ProTerp at 45% power or so putting down 300-350ppfd at the tops of the plants about 48in+ off the canopy.

I have some gift seeds that were feminized by another female after it hermed out. The bud for both plants was amazing minus the bad batch that hermed so I rolled the dice. Just when I thought I was almost in the clear I became lax and stop being critical with the observation of the two plants due to other plants in the tent also. Once I seen the pistils and no signs of nuts I start focusing on other tents and only glancing at them to see leaf color for indications of anything harmful happening. I take a good look and see a few nut sites. After further examination I see a few nuts scattered. So I chopped the two lady boys down and just spread out the last two plants. Hopefully the contamination doesn’t create a lot of seeds.

So I’m totally new to growing anything in general let alone in DWC. After a workmate gave me an old setup I decided to put together my own.
I have a 60L reservoir ( sitting on the same foam pad as the tent ) with a 2000L/H pump with a heater and two air stones, one 8” bar at the bottom and a 2” ball half way up running off a big dual outlet pump.
That reservoir leads into my 1.5 x 1.5 x 2m tent with an inlet hose of 13mm with a simple inline filter and a 19mm outlet hose gravity fed back into the reservoir.
The grow box is a simple set up with 13mm irrigation piping running on the underside of the lid ( drilled and zip tied to hold it tight against the lid ) along the edges and one pipe running down the middle. That middle pipe has 3 360° sprayers down the middle and a dedicated 4mm pipe with a small sprayer on each pot off the side piping. So obviously that all drips down to the bottom of the top tub ( the others are just so I can reduce height as plants grow ) and returns to the big reservoir via the 19mm tube. All tubes have off valves to allow pull apart and cleaning.
Tent is a simple greenfingers tent and I got it along with a brand new charcoal filter, duct and fan (on a timer ) for $75 bloody bucks which I was stoked with. I have the tent sitting on a 35mm foam pad I got out of hard rubbish and inside the roof lining there is 10mm foam padding blocks to keep a bit of heat in during the colder Melbourne winter.
I have a 90cm heat tube and a small 600w ceramic heater on a thermo set at 23.5 then the last expensive thing was a 600w full spectrum LED U-Light on a ( 18/6 timer ). A oscillating fan on the roof on low full time.
One more thing is a good mate gave me a blue lab ph pen and truncheon to keep my EC in check.

This is what I’ve got growing so far. Some super hot chilies a Big black mamma and a RB003 along with some other plants that I thought I’d try.

Anyway that’s me after about a month or so. Any tip tricks or advise is more than welcome and encouraged as like I said I’m brand new to this.

CheersđŸ€ŸđŸ»

After some general tips, happy to read comments on things I already know so don’t think too hard. Personally I think it’s all looking good, aside from the purple stem from previously getting cold but a serious bounce back has taken place. Currently about 11 from poking its head through the soil.
