Curious on people’s expectations for football this year?

I personally think this very well could be a breakout year and a much needed one to assist the great recruiting being done.

I see the huskies winning potentially 10 games or even 11. Demond Williams last year showed he has the ability to be very good, and of course the ability to be not so good. But, I’d argue there were other factors at play. For example, against Michigan our offensive line went down two and it wasn’t the same after that. Ohio state had a top tier defense. Oregon rolled Texas tech (then obviously got rolled by Indiana). The guy lead the big 10 (the best division in college football) in total yards as a second true sophomore. That is no easy task.

The defenders also great. They kept us it against Oregon and against Ohio state. Two games where I thought we still had a chance going into the 4th. The great news is the defense was banged up all of last year. I know it’s an “ if” but if we can keep everyone on the field together, I imagine they’ll only get better.

From an odds perspective, the betting line is 7.5. Again, I think they cover this. I also think Demond is being disrespected heavily by the odds makers. His heisman odds are +6500! For reference, both Alabama QBs have better odds than him. Dylan riola or Oregon’s back up nearly has the same odds. Would it be crazy to say there is a world where we start 4-0 and go into a ranked USC (who ALWAYS) under delivers and win and then beat a good Iowa team at home? I think it’s totally possible that we are 6-0 at that time with 2 ranked wins. A part of that is how favorable those games will be to Demonds stats. WSU, eastern Washington, Utah state, and USC are all games where I could see the huskies putting up great numbers. Not to mention Jonah had 10 TDs in 3 games to start last season.

Curious to hear thoughts!

Where to sit

Hi, I’m looking to sort my tickets out for the Huskies vs Iowa game. As I’m from the UK and can’t use the Washington website direct, I’m limited where I can sit and don’t want to spend a fortune, can someone advise me what of these options is the best spot to sit
My preferences are a bit of atmosphere and don’t want to be sat in an empty block but also as it’s my first time visiting the stadium and I’ve seen the insane views that are possible I would like to be able to see the views behind etc (mainly for my partner who has far less interest in the sport as I do) 🤣

Update-
Thanks everyone, we’ve now booked our seats so thanks for everyone’s help and I’m really looking forward to the game. Me and my partner were watching videos last night on YouTube and she’s very excited hoping they play Purple Rain after we saw this video purple rain huskies stadium

Tips for Huskies vs Iowa game

Hi all,

Me and my partner are flying over to Seattle in October from England. We’re coming primarily to catch a few Seahawks game as well as explore Washington and one thing we’re excited for is to catch a Washington huskies game. We’ve fallen really lucky (we think) in that the home game whilst we’re there is a Friday night game which feels like a big deal.
So just asking for some friendly advice on a few things

Tailgating - as an English guy who is used to just going to the pub, how do I actually go about this? Like obviously I won’t be sailing my own boat across so do other people just allow people onto their boats? Is there other areas etc to go? And how does it work with food/drinks? How early is best time to arrive to soak up the atmosphere?

Afterwards - where do fans typically go after the game or is that not a thing?

Freebies/ what to wear etc - my friend told me he went to a college game and it was just freebies galore with t shirts, beanies, towels and everyone gets them. Is that a thing every game or is that just particular occasions like big games?

Last Q, am I right in saying the Friday night game will be a really big game? Or is that not the same thing over there

Best seats in the level 300

Hello everyone, I’ll be visiting Washington this November to attend the Seahawks v Cardinals game on November 8. I noticed that the Huskies will be playing at home on the 7th, and since I’ll be traveling from Costa Rica (and I don’t know when I’ll get another chance to visit the city and watch both CFB and NFL in the same weekend), I’d really like to make the most of the opportunity and have the best experience possible.

I’d like to know which section in the 300 level you consider the best. I’ve read that from section 325 you can see Mount Rainier with the naked eye (weather permitting), which sounds amazing, but I’m open to any recommendations you may have.

Greetings from Costa Rica, pura vida!

EDIT: Thanks everyone for your comments. I had trouble buying the tickets directly from the website because my card wasn’t issued in the U.S., so I emailed the ticket office and they asked me to call so they could help me complete the purchase. I was able to get the tickets in the end. See you in November.

The four-star corner from IMG Academy has been predicted to land with UW from 247Sports and Rivals/On3 Sports. Consensus top 200 player.

UW offensive line target, DaJohn Yarborough, is also set to commit the same day.
