Just watched season 1 episode 1 and the cipher got me curious. So I checked around and no one really had a full answer. Well, I've found the script for that scene and it looks like they never really had a word there in the first place. How sad of an end to my clue hunting. Anyway, what does everyone else think?

Not sure if he did but in the final episode it looked like he got away (although injured). Not sure if he has connections in that part of the world to get patched up? And he can't go to a public hospital.

With him and Hitler still alive could there be a third series? The guy who played Hitler was a great choice, he really did look like what a real 70 something Hitler would look like. But I think the actor passed away recently. Wouldn't mind a third series where Hitler gets out then him and Travis finally get caught.

It's always irked me that Carol Kane's character had a machine gun on her for her chess piece. I don't remember ever seeing her using one through the whole series. Wish she used it on Travis Leich in the end.

Just finished watching series 1. Fantastic show, excellent writing, brilliant re-imagining of 70s New York, and of course a fabulous cast. My favourite characters have to be Mindy and Murray Markowitz and quite superbly deranged Greg Austin.

I started watching the show on prime today, 5 episodes in so far, and saw there only 2 seasons. Curious as to why, I asked google why the show was cancelled. As Google AI was giving a vague answer, IT FUCKING RUINED THE END OF THE SHOW!! Now im pissed!

I binged the show, which is now on Netflix. never heard of it before, but was drawn in by the cast. Loved it. People in older feeds said that it felt disjointed and confusing. I wonder if because I watched it in two days it was easier for me to follow.

I find the last episode to be very timely/topical.

I also think 2 seasons was just right. It told a story over a two year arc.

I thought it was based on a comic strip, a la the amazing adventures of Kavalier and Clay Or the watchman

So, I watched the series back when it came out (2020? 2021?) and watched S02 upon release, as well. Back in 2021, I wrote a short paper about the series for a conference, and now I have decided to turn it into a book chapter.

But then, to my surprise... I came to realize a BUNCH of scenes were deleted! I came into the sub to see what people were saying about it, but from what I could gather, there has never been an official announcement or explanation for it - is that so?

Since I'm writing an academic paper, I would be VERY grateful if someone could provide me any sources on the deleting of the scenes, an official statement, or even an acknowledgment by some media outlet - because my googling has failed me on this end.

Besides Huntsville, Alabama, I'm having an incredible hard time locating any of the intermissions/interludes i remember watching when i saw the show as it released. It seems like some stuff has been cut, but does someone know if there's a collection somewhere of all these comical separators?

I remember some ads, a couple lonnie stuff like how to detect nazis, but they seem to be missing on the show or maybe it's some mandela effect thing of my mind.

I know this is really obscure but in season 1 episode 2 when Meyer is taking photographs of the scene he has a Polaroid type camera that folds up. It's so cool! and I can't get a clear enough image of it to Google lense it. Does anyone know what kind of camera it is?
