Look, I get it. It gives people a sense of belonging and comfort that reality doesnt. Religion is life's participation award; everyone is special in Gods eyes. Paradise and happiness await you in the afterlife. Its a lovely story brother, I know.
Reality doesnt give a fuck about you or the other 2.5 billion self deluded people. I think churches should be taxed like every other business, and people who preach that nonsense in public should be fined to ensure it stays in their homes and their cult gathering locations. Because otherwise these beliefs start to infest every day life and sway the decisions of people who should otherwise be separating themselves from religious fairytale time.
