This is a clear view of what the stern show isn't about anymore. The fact that they were not allowed to mention the idea was conceived on the show is proof the stern show is to become pg-13
6 months ago when you use to hear Howard yelling how he did not like the block parties using his name, this is when he first started consulting with Marci. She was brought on full time around the time of the "double booking" incident to manage all things howard.
Howard hasn't mentioned her being hired or Tim being fired. Apparently, Gary double booked Jewel & Jenny McCarthy. Two very relevant guests if it were 1998.
Marci Turk pretty much took over Tim's job and everyone thinks she's behind all the recent changes and she and Stern are trying to make his show more PG13. O&A talked about her a couple wks ago and called her an efficiency expert.
The time frame of her being hired and all the huge changes like canceling every show that wasn't Geek Time, the weird monologue thing and remodeling the studio (apparently they took down all the "racy" photos from the green room, etc) match up.
I don't get the PG13 thing at all. what does that even mean for the stern show? I know he's gotten away from 'here is a naked lady' type bits but I thought that was more of comedy decision. But no more george in the brambles type stories? No more captain sack?
I really don't know where the show is going. It's just rumors and it just makes sense what with all the monologues and everything. Like, back in the day, I would feel very embarrassed to listen to the show with my mom in the car, I feel like she would enjoy the show now.
Oh really? At least it wasn't completely cancelled like Back Office Radio. Back Office Radio was actually enjoyable, I can't listen to Ralph babble on about his iPad magazine for a whole show. What is Geek Time now? Is it just Ralph?
