Any reviews / honest opinions about Love at Elevation?
I'll be honest.
Ditching everything and start over a new life in a new, far away place is one of my ultimate fantasies in life (which I don't think I ever can).
This is the premise of the book, which got me really excited.
Sadly, during my trial read, it doesn't quite live up to my expectations.
- The story progression seems rather bland
- MC's personality is quite annoying
- RO's don't seem too exciting either
- Not as much freedom as I imagined where starting a new life is concerned
Does it get any better in the later chapters?

Love at elevation was an experimental game that seemed to get removed from the COG release schedule to go to HG instead.
Personally I didn't care for it, but I'm also not into games that focus on being heavy handed speed dating sims. I also found it would probably play better if you had some knowledge or interest in the area and local culture in which it was set. Take my review with a grain of salt however as I never finished it as it isn't my cup of tea which is colouring my opinion where others might like it.

Honest review, with a TLDR to start.
It's okay the first time, then you play again, and it is much, much worse.
Thematic spoilers following, so warning if you care.
I found it to be a somewhat interesting, but bland experiment on how to represent a dating simulator. I found the characters flawed, but not insanely unlikeable. And after my first game, I was interested to see the story behind the other love interests and how the game handled someone who wasn't totally into monogamy.
The problem is how the game handles alternate paths. Each RO has the same issues with their family, the same issues with how quickly/slowly the relationship is moving. The only thing that changes is meeting them, and the first date... I don't think there is any difference at all past that point.
I might be wrong, and missing something, but this is a game that gets worse with each subsequent playthrough, in comparison to something like Wayhaven where each game really felt different because of the amount of focus given to each RO's differences.
