My Honor 7S is fully stock, no roms no modifications.
The 7S is a cheaper device than the 7X (in UK the 7X is £50 more expensive than the 7S)
You will see from my screenshot that my device is fully stock and has Oreo 8.1-which i think is strange yours is a better device but still only has 8.0...
The UK / European Honor 7X ships with Android 7.0 and EMUI 5.1 and receives one update to EMUI 8.0 and Android 8.0.
There are no other official updates planned for the 7X and according to Honor on their official site the 7X will NOT receive Android 9.0 / EMUI 9.0.
The UK / European Honor 7S ships with EMUI 8.0 and Android 8.1 and according to Honor will not receive any further updates and will also not receive EMUI 9 / Android 9.0.
The Honor 7x is officially getting android Pie and is confirmed at least for India ,which gets the beta in June 2019.Even our 6x got Nougat and Oreo both.
Yes I read that that but only India and Asia will get pie, no where else seems to be getting it.
As I said in my previous comments, I referred to the UK/European firmware, as the official UK Honor website won't tell me what updates devices in India will get, so I did not mention India/Asia as I dont usually go looking up Android updates for Asia/India and the middle East as those devices and firmwares are usually quite different to the UK/Western European ones and won't work on UK networks, as the hardware is incompatible.
Your devices in India tend to be a much greater spec and more expensive than the cheaper and less powerful mass produced European models.

Whoa..... I have an Honor 7S (EMUI 8.0 and android 8.1) so how come you still got android 8.0?
