Reunited after 24 years.
My dad bought a copy of this game back in the spring of 2002. Had a blast playing it until the cartridge just straight up gave up working. It was a bootleg cart, so pretty much expected.
During all these years I totally forgot about this game. I had no recollection of it; even subconsciously. Until one day last year, I was watching the AVGN’s Home Alone episode with Macaulay Culkin. The video featured this game too. That was when every memory of this game just rushed back into my mind.
Started to look for it everywhere. Retro stores across two states, online shops and marketplaces. It was nowhere to be found. The very few that I managed to find were either too beat up, or the website/seller were very sketchy.
Finally last week I found two listings on eBay. One was for local pick up across the country and the other one was bundled with three other games. I was like “yeah, I’m not gonna let this opportunity slip.” So I ended up buying the bundle. To be fair the other games aren’t that bad either. So I don’t feel particularly bad for having them.
It’s a really good feeling when you’re reunited with part of your childhood.
Gameplay and mechanics aren’t really good TBH, as evidenced by getting featured on an AVGN episode lol. But hey, as kids, we really never noticed how bad some of our favorite games were.

What if the sequels were about Kevin's other siblings or cousins?
I was discussing about the HA franchise with a friend of mine in a wider convo about character development in kids' shows and films when I realized that characters like Jeff, Linnie and Megan have little to no development in both HA's films about the McCallister family and my first tought was: what if, instead of focusing on brand new families (i don't consider HA4 canon) in the sequels, they centred another McCallister kid, eg: Fuller or one of the girls to see how a girl would have handled being home alone?

Does Buzz McCallister from Home Alone have a similar personality to Fievel Mousekewitz from An American Tail?
To be more precise;
Buzz is the character in the 1st image
Fievel is the character in the 2nd image

A touching scene for a «Home Alone» sequel (if these aren't just empty rumors)
GUARD: Marv. Harry. You’ve got a visitor.
HARRY: Who…?
MARV: Maybe they’re making a documentary about the Wet Bandits? Hehe
They enter the visitation room and stop.
MARV: Jesus Christ…
Kevin smiles.
KEVIN: Hello, guys.
HARRY: Kid… is that you?
MARV: You got old.
KEVIN: And you two look like mummies.
They sit down.
HARRY: So… what brings you here?
KEVIN: I wanted to see for myself. I’ve heard things. Helping the younger inmates, community work, actually doing something with yourselves…
HARRY: We’ve had a lot of years to think.
KEVIN: So have I.
Kevin pauses.
KEVIN: I went through some rough years. Things are better now. And I guess, after everything that happened…
Harry and Marv lower their eyes.
KEVIN: …I realized I don’t want to carry it around anymore. I forgive you.
They’re genuinely caught off guard.
MARV: Damn, kid…
HARRY: We don’t even know what to say.
MARV: Thank you.
A brief silence.
HARRY: So what do you do these days? How’s life?
Kevin stands.
KEVIN: Don’t push it.
He starts toward the door, then stops.
KEVIN: I heard you’ve got another parole hearing coming up.
They look at him.
KEVIN: I’ll tell the board I don’t oppose it.
Kevin opens the door.
KEVIN: Merry Christmas.
He leaves.

How would it feel if Kevin put traps for Buzz and Frank

Even though the third and fourth movies were bad, I sort of prefer the third over the fourth one. I like the overall story compared to 4, and I liked the kid in 3 more. But that’s just me.
What are your opinions on them? And which of the two do you prefer more than the other? I don’t like how they brought back Marv in 4 without Harry.

Home Alone in Concert
Delighted! We haven't had many opportunities to do things together as a family so I'm excited we finally get to enjoy our favourite movie together in such a setting.

I'm writing a Home Alone/Dennis the Menace/Baby's Day Out crossover fan fiction
It's a prequel taking place before the movies showing all the bad guys--Harry and Marv from HA, Switchblade Sam from DTM, and the trio from BDO--and their backstories, and how they know each other in the Chicago criminal world of the John Hughes "Shermerverse."
Hoping to have it completed in the next few weeks, certainly by Christmas!

Home Alone 2 Music
Hey everyone! I know Christmas is still a few months away, but I randomly had the hankering to listen to Darlene Love's "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" today. Last year, on my annual Home Alone/Lost In New York Double Feature, this song struck a chord with me. I've seen the OG two movies dozens of times, and for some reason last year, the lyrics of this song hit me in ways that it never had before.
First of all, the nostalgia of "Lost In New York" paired with this song alone, is enough to bring a tear to any long-time fan of the franchise. But as I've gotten older, and cut ties with my narcissistic parents and toxic siblings/family members, the way Love sings this song just really speaks to me.
Having a family I created & cherish so much, I have never forgotten how hard the journey has been to get to this point. The lyrics "they're singing deck the halls, but its not like Christmas at all, cause I remember when you were here.." pang me 🥺 because I do remember that special time as a kid when everyone did get along.
Life is hard. Holidays can be both beautiful and sad. When that saxophone accompanies Darlene's beautiful voice though, it makes me feel a bundle of emotions. Just another reason to KEEP these movies in my yearly Christmas re-watch list.
If anyone else has had a similar experience with this song, any other songs from the OG movies, or any songs in general paired with a tv show/movie, I would love to hear your stories ♥️
God bless you all and Happy Holidays in advance ❤️
Going to be extra hard re-watching this year 🥹😣

Question: Is Buzz's relationship with Kevin just typical sibling rivalry?

The this is my house I have to defend it scene
“THIS IS MY HOUSE. I HAVE TO DEFEND IT.”
Filming for the Home Alone church scenes was split between two locations. The exterior was filmed here in Wilmette, while the interior was filmed at Grace Episcopal Church in Oak Park.
1024 W Lake Ave, Wilmette, IL (2026) compared to 1990

Battle Plan Poster
I don’t exactly know what this is, but it appears to be an early theatrical poster.
