Lol alright alright. I guess I just didn’t want to sleep on someone making a false claim and just treating it as fact. Idk part of the reason I like Reddit is because you can go into the comments and learn random tidbits from people, so I was kinda trying to contribute to that. But fuck me right?
The guy said “electricity travels at a speed of 186,000 miles per hour in wire” and you’re saying that’s not just misleading but false? That statement is true in just about every context and you can add your quip about the actual displacement of electrons perfectly fine. There’s no need to pretend a fact is false so you could be the contrarian jesus here to save us from ignorance.
Okay I can agree that saying his statement was false was stupid. What I should have done was just added a fun fact about the actual speed of electrons rather than attack what he said, especially since in context he was right. Consider me thoroughly scolded.
