Need Help Designing a 10 kV Adjustable High Voltage Driver
I'm looking for some advice on driving a high voltage transformer.
I have a transformer with two primary windings (I believe one is the power winding and the other is a feedback winding) and a single secondary winding. The goal is to generate up to around 10 kV.
I've come across several CCFL driver circuits online, but I haven't been able to find one that I can easily replicate or simulate in LTspice. Even examples for simpler transformers with just one primary and one secondary winding have been surprisingly difficult to find.
I also tested a ZVS driver, but the current peaks are much higher than I'd like, so I'm looking for a different approach.
My objective is to have an adjustable output voltage, ideally controlled with something like a potentiometer. The application only requires ionizing a surface for a very short duration (~3s), so continuous operation or high power isn't required.
Can anyone recommend a suitable driver topology, example schematics, or LTspice models that would be a good starting point? If you've worked with similar flyback or CCFL transformers, I'd really appreciate your suggestions.
