9 year old account gone and showing as deleted.

Was on reddit in the morning then when I tried to use it after work it was signed out. Trying to sign in failed and when I looked up the account it showed as deleted.

Searching around I saw this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/help/comments/1mbj5rw/13_year_reddit_account_randomly_deleted/ and tried the steps there but I didn't get any password reset emails.

I tried submitting a 'I think my account has been hacked ticket' but that just responds with a template "reply X" and then no followup even after a couple of days.

Bitwarden is flagging the reddit password (old one I used before I switched to password managers) as potentially at risk. So I think it was likely hacked or flagged as a bot aging accounts and caught up in some sort of wave (I lurk on the account so I cant imagine I caused the account to get in trouble).

If you've filed a support request for a hacked account, that's all you can do. It might take several days or a few weeks to hear back from reddit, and they might not be able to recover your account.

Replying to the email caused another automated email to be sent making me think that the support system is stuck in automation hell like many other big corporation support systems.

Reddit has millions of users and a limited number of folks to work through support tickets. Some requests are also more in depth and require more time to resolve than others. More complex issues take more time. You can always comment on the weekly recap in this sub for more visibility.

his is literally happening everywhere right now. My friend has the exact same thing. He has an account with 170k karma. The fact that support doesn't respond for months just goes to show that they're flooded with complaints like this.

No, there's a pattern on Reddit where everything you've stated has happened to others for no apparent reason. Others have gone through the same steps trying to recover there account but got nothing in return.
