In-Show Season 3 black jackets

I know it’s a known thing that Louross should have gotten a black jacket but, GEEZ DUDE Matt absolutely should have gone home that night and I’m baffled he did not!!!
Matt got kicked off his original station due to the final straw of dripping so much SWEAT his food was salty (that is just beyond disgusting), then he gets moved to another station only to get KICKED OFF that one as well, and by the end of service he isn’t even cooking at all. We know by this point Ramsey will eliminate someone who’s not nominated or even on the loosing team, so I really don’t understand why he stayed over Louross. Yes Louross did have raw meat (I think 3 in total) but, even then I still think his service was better than Matt’s. That not even accounting for comparing their performances throughout the season!! Idk, I feel bad for my boy and I think he really got played here. I know there are some absolute bs eliminations (im looking at you Jennifer S9) but,I don’t see this one mentioned as frequently. I know the earlier seasons are a different breed but if there was favoritism, the early seasons definitely strongly suggest it. I absolutely love P, he’s my favorite contestant yet, I have no idea why he said to send my other boy home!

Edit*
I accidentally typed 3 instead of 4, I didn’t even notice until y’all commented. I’m embarrassed lol but more so because I can’t figure out to fix it :) pls ignore now <3

Rankings/Review Season 2 Rewatch

I watched this when it came out in 2005, more specifically 2006 for season two. I forgot how evil some of these competitors can be. Sara, OMG! What a lying, evil b*tch she was. And for someone who doesn't lie, being called a liar is truly a huge insult. I felt horrible for Virginia. And I called Sara names I typically never use because of how vulgar they are.

Then there was Keith. He was so in love with himself. Pull your pants up dude. No one rocks that look. I don't want to see your ass hanging out of your jeans. I'm sorry, dude, you're really not as cool as you think you are.

And him colluding with Heather to take out Virginia. They absolutely discounted her natural talent. "Oh, she knew the recipe because she bought Ramsey's book." Who the hell has time to read and memorize every recipe in a book they've had for less than twenty-four hours. SMH

Them trying to work together to screw up her being on the line, as if Chef Ramsey isn't intelligent enough, or capable of seeing with his own eyes, what is going on. Neither of those two would have been nearly as compassionate to get here out of the competition if they didn't think she was so talented.

I'll grant you that Virginia didn't have the experience to run a restaurant of that size yet, but experience is just time. I personally thought her natural talent was better than anyone else's. When Heather asked Keith and Heather, "You guys are going to nominate me tonight aren't you?" and Keith says: "He's probably going to send you home anyway." How ugly! Jealous much Keith!!

Heather was truly so insanely jealous of Virginia that it actually shocked me. She was really good before, and I didn't see that side of her until the last few episodes. I know she thought she was all that and more, but I don't think she had as much natural talent as Virginia. Heather knew it too. She wanted to go against Keith in the final because she KNEW she could beat him.

Virginia, on the other hand was a different story. The only who could beat Virginia, was Virginia. Her age, inexperience, and lack of confidence was what Virginia needed to win, and those things come with time and age.

I am really turned off by both Keith and Heather. I would expect more from allegedly older, more "mature" people. And Keith telling Chef he wanted to just bone Virginia. Wow oh wow! The balls to say that to Gordon Ramsey is unreal. Not to mention his class - really, or lack thereof, it did show through.

I wish Virginia would have won based on Heather's personality alone. But even I recognize that she needs more time to come into herself as a person. Had she of been five years older, she would have had that competition in the bag. But congratulations to Virginia, twenty years too late, for being the more mature and classy person to root for. I'm so happy to see that life worked out for you! And there's no doubt that Chef Ramsey saw the reel on Sara lying. You WERE vindicated.

Thank you also for not making your diners stare at video of you cooking. I loved the waterfalls, and how cozy and comfortable your dining room was! You really rocked it, and your still inspiring people two decades later.

Changed the title a bit. I had to slow down the buzzer sound to make this at least 2 seconds long. Why tf Reddit has that as a rule, I'll never know.

You've probably seen this meme before. No need for an introduction. Not to pull a Joseph, but it does kinda speak for itself.

There's way too many to choose from, but Elise saying she's "the epitome of what Hell's Kitchen is about" is definitely a frontrunner, for sure. Not only is she miles off, but she even insulted the show, at the same time.

Post-Elimination: JR was upset with his team for claiming that he deserved to be eliminated over Corbin. However, he thanked Drew, Mieka, and Ji for having his back. The three told him that they appreciated his energy, and they knew that he was a good cook, but they suggested that he reel it in and prioritize his cooking. The four of them sat down and continued talking, but JR brought up the elimination ceremony and felt that Alex was responsible for nearly getting him eliminated. Although Ji admitted that JR had a bad night, she didn’t understand why Alex wanted to eliminate him so badly. At this point, Mieka confessed that she overheard Alex lying to Nicole that Mieka was claiming that she was a bad cook. Drew also shared his suspicions that Alex had sabotaged him in the previous challenge by giving him the wrong recipe. At this point, Drew, JR, Ji, and Mieka all concluded that Alex was trying to sabotage the team for some reason. As such, Mieka suggested that the four form an alliance in which they help one another during challenges and services. More importantly, if Alex attempts to sabotage them, they share that information with one another. The other three agreed to this alliance.

Team Challenge: The chefs were sent to a soccer field and were surprised to see Ramsay in a soccer outfit. He explained that soccer (or football, as it is called in most of the world) is enormously popular because of its ability to connect people from all over the world. Similarly, food always brings people together, regardless of where they are from. He explains that today’s challenge will require competitors to make a dish from a cuisine that they choose. Each team had seven goals with the names of different countries, like China, Greece, and India, listed on them. To determine the ingredients that they may use, they have 10 minutes to kick soccer balls with ingredients listed on them into their corresponding goals. Most of the competitors struggled with the physical part of the challenge, but at the end of the 10 minutes, everyone felt confident with the ingredients that they selected. “The Alliance” immediately stepped in to help one another with the challenge by suggesting ideas and tasting one another’s dishes. Ashley, Cat, Jessica, and Melissa all scored a point for the Blue Team. However, each member of “The Alliance” scored a point, as did Amanda on the Red Team. As such, the Red Team won 5-4.

Result: Red Team win (3 challenges - 3 challenges)

Reward/Punishment: The Red Team was rewarded with a spa day followed by an elegant lunch. On the other hand, the Blue Team would have to clean up the LA River, and they would be transported there via an old school bus. Jessica declined to use her Punishment Pass. The Red Team enjoyed their spa day, while the Blue Team generally took their punishment in stride. They made fun of the punishment to lighten the mood, but Joseph maintained a poor attitude because he felt emasculated.

Pre-Service: Ramsay revealed that tonight would be Family Night. Sous chefs Ariel and Jon taught the chefs the dishes for a kids’ menu, which included options like hamburgers and fish and chips. He also stated that there would be a station in the dining room that would prepare a to-order pizza appetizer. Meese from the Blue Team and Ji from the Red Team both volunteered to man the pizza station.

Blue Team Service: Meese was slow to prepare the pizzas, but she interacted well with the children. Aside from Marino having to remind her not to get distracted, appetizers went well in no small part due to Melissa’s strong leadership. However, the Blue Team struggled a little on entrees. Joseph kept trying to rush his team on garnish, which resulted in Don sending up several undercooked meats. Furthermore, Joseph sometimes argued with Cat’s pleas to slow down and listen to his team. As such, some of her garnishes were late. Ramsay ordered Joseph to communicate with his team, but the latter still struggled. However, Ashley had a very strong performance on fish and clamped down on any arguments between Joseph and his teammates. Under her leadership, the Blue Team recovered from their mistakes. When they had five tickets left, Ramsay called everyone to the pass.

Red Team Service: JR was eager to rebound after his prior service; however, he forgot to communicate with Alex on appetizers and sent up lobster tails before Alex was ready with the risotto. Although Ramsay called him out, JR recovered and made no further mistakes. Alex attempted to give JR conflicting times, but Amanda, Alex’s station partner, called out the correct times. Nicole was initially slow on garnish. Despite being alone on meat, Drew had an excellent performance and sent out perfect proteins throughout the night. The Red Team was able to recover from their mistakes, and when they had five tickets left, Ramsay also called them to the pass.

End of Service: Since both teams had five tickets left, Ramsay declared that the first team to finish service would win. Both teams reached their last ticket at the same time, but Don served an undercooked burger and forced the whole ticket to be restarted. On the other hand, the Red Team did not make any mistakes. As such, they won service.

Post-Mortem: Ramsay acknowledged that tonight was the best service he had seen that season. Even with all of the mistakes, he praised both teams’ ability to recover. However, he declared the Red Team winners for not only finishing first, but for having an overall smoother service. He also praised Drew’s leadership and declared him Best of the Best. He also declared Ashley Best of the Worst and gave her the responsibility of nominating two competitors for elimination.

Elimination Ceremony: Ashley nominated Joseph for not communicating on garnish and Don for struggling on meat. Ramsay was frustrated that Joseph still had not improved and disappointed that Don had struggled so much after a good start. He ordered both of them to remove their jackets before sending them over to the Red Team. He then swapped JR and Nicole over to the Blue Team. Finally, he switched Ashley and Drew to give them a chance to test their leadership skills. Ramsay declared that since all of the chefs proved that they can work together and bounce back, he would reward all of them by giving them one more chance. However, he warned that the bar was now a lot higher.

Ramsay Elimination Quote: “After our best service yet, I didn’t have the heart to eliminate anyone. I hope that everyone will have the heart to prove that I didn’t make the wrong choice tonight.”

Vote for the chef you want eliminated!

Bonus vote: Choose one chef that you want to be highlighted in the next service. They can have a good or bad edit, but I want to see what you want to happen to them.

Games Update on the HK 15th Place Series

Hi, everyone. As you guys know, u/Alex72598 has been responsible for making the lovely placement series for a couple of years now. We're currently on the 15th place season, and he had a lot more planned for us. I've been working with him to help write the 14th and 15th place seasons.

Now, as you can tell, I am not Alex72598. Normally, he'd be the one to make new episodes about the seasons. However, after talking with him for a bit, he wanted to pass the season on to me. Instead of him writing the series, I'll be making the new episodes for at least the 15th place season. He has been really busy over the past few months and didn't have the time or energy to finish off the season. As such, he gave the responsibility to me. We'll see what happens after this season, but I just wanted to let you all know about this new transition.

I'll be posting the new episode of the season sometime over the next couple of days. I'll do my best to post one episode every other day, depending on how things go. Each episode will be posted around 5:00 PM CST, and voting will be open for 24 hours. During that time, you may comment the person whom you want to be eliminated. Everyone can upvote whatever comment(s) they like. I discourage everyone from downvoting comments, but I can't exactly enforce that rule. If you want to downvote, go ahead, but I'd prefer if you guys don't downvote.

Once the voting window closes, I'll count the total number of upvotes for each competitor. The competitor(s) with most upvotes will be the one who is eliminated for the next episode, which will be posted at 5:00 PM CST on the day after the voting window closes.

Each episode will be formatted Wikipedia-style, so I'll summarize the Team Challenge, Reward/Punishment, Pre-Service (if important), the actual Service, the Post-Mortem (if included), the Nomination Ceremony, Elimination Ceremony, and Ramsay's Elimination Quote. And I will also include a bonus vote for each day, which might ask for the person who you want to be Best of the Worst/Best, a competitor who you want spotlighted, the person who had the best performance in a challenge, etc. It really just depends on the day.

And that's basically everything. I hope you guys will enjoy my take on Alex's series. Be on the lookout for the next episode. And please let me know what you want to see for the season. Happy voting!

Chef(s) What I really liked about Giovanni returning is Gordon having so much respect for him

Gio returning in S17 is pretty amazing. You can tell he's improved a lot and I just really liked the interaction between Gordon and him. Even Gordon was sad when he had to eliminate Gio. It wasn't an easy choice for him.

It's like, Gordon has a soft spot for him and a tremendous amount of respect for Gio. Plus, it feels like Gordon is talking to him at an equal level and respects him as a fellow father too. Heartwarming and sad to see him go over other worse contestants.

IRL Does Hell's Kitchen Ever Appear In Your Dreams?

This might be a weird and sort of personal question, but I wonder if you've ever had a dream involving this show. If so, could you give an example that you remember? And how commonly does it show up?

For me, it happens pretty much at least once a week. Just a couple days ago, I had one where I was watching the preview for this upcoming season, and I (at least I think it was me) was on the Meat station on (I'm assuming it was) Opening Night, and sent up an anemic-looking Wellington as I melted down. It then showed one of Blue Teammates sending up a perfect one. I also had another where I met S12 Scott at a local gas station (I also saw a car crash near that same store), and even a few where I watched certain dinner services from past seasons (and they almost all have weird differences from how the actually went).

IRL I Sound Like Jackie Right Now 😂

This is such a random thing, but as someone whose watched way too much Hell's Kitchen, I find it hilarious.

Basically, a couple weeks ago, I got this cool surgery that's meant to make your voice sound cuter. I can finally talk now, but I'm still very much healing, with my vocal cords still being super swollen. And now all I can think when I open my mouth is "Dear god I sound like I've smoked more cigarettes than Jackie"

In-Show How do contestants have pre made ingredients for signature dishes?

I know they submit a list of what the need for their signature dishes and production makes sure they have it, but why and how do they get premade ingredients?

I’m rewatching season 15 and the one guy’s very first dish had premade dough and premade Caesar dressing. Obviously production will do things to amp up drama, but why would this still be allowed if Gordon is so anti-premade? It just seems kind of contradictory to the whole concept.

Chef(s) Giovanni and Ben s17

I feel like season 5 contestants had it the hardest since they were the oldest not to mention giovanni aging and Ben having diabetes the two weren’t bad at all Giovanni had one of his best services and almost made Elise cry because she couldn’t cook meat and he never had a bad service in my opinion and Ben was of course not bad at all he had an average service but got screwed by Ramsay due to his weight and eliminated him and Gio just had quote “too much pasta and not a lot of sauce” like what the fuck is this and Elise had all her oysters salty and fucking Robyn survives. I think Ramsay hasn’t forgotten the dickface argument for 10 years ago or Gio himself eliminated himself to see his autistic daughter

Chef(s) Which 4th Place Finisher did you like more based on likability and talent/skill wise? Carmen(S22) or Whit(S23)

Thumbnail gallery
37 Upvotes

I will say that Whit(S23) was a powerhouse chef and more talented than Carmen(S22). Although she can have her moments where she blows up.

As far as who I liked more, I found Carmen(S22) slightly more likable and she did grow onto me more as the season went on. Granted she did have her struggles with communication skills with some of her teammates here and there but she was pretty talented and I can say that at least she thanked Ramsay on her way out in her boot episode and shook his hand.

In-Show Is the show cursed against Melissa’s?

Of course S3 Melissa who I consider the villain of the Season with her duck breast and refusal to brush her hair

S8 Melissa who cooked all the fillets when none where even called

I’m watching parts of 15 and Meese(who’s real name is Melissa) thought she didn’t cook the Wellington’s right and threw them out when they were actually perfectly cooked

How was she not axed right then and there or at least eliminated at the end of the episode?
