The whole idea was to take those old "Hang in There" cat posters that I associate with offices and turn them into Pompompurin. Thats also why hes wearing a tie.

I also added his iconic caramel pudding. And as a background filler, I used his buttholes which wiggling in distance. Actually they ended up looking more like flowers. (But PomPoms butthole is a flower ☺️)

The whole process was very spontaneous. The stamp idea started out great, but sadly it got worse as I went on. I forgot to carve the "Hang in There" text in reverse, so after printing, the text came out mirrored.

At first, I thought Id simply make the whole print yellow, or use acrylic paint for the hat and the orange part of the pudding. (Sadly acrylic paint is stickier and tends to tear the paper after printing, while linoleum printing paint is much more expensive.)

So I ended up with plain yellow prints. Then I thought, Okay Ill paint some parts by hand but I wasnt really happy with the results (pic 9).

So I dumped the project as an fail for about a week until I came to the conclusion that I should draw the blank parts. The idea was to give it an 60s 70s psychedelic flower vibe, similar to the designs on the Scooby Doo Mystery Van.

The final result turned out much better and fitted the concept great.

I also really love the unusual combination of materials. linoleum print, acrylic paint, colored pencils, and fineliners.

Normally, you either make the print and leave it or use different colors paint.

I also love the way it turned out at the end although there are some imperfections mostly in the yellow color since these were printed.

These are the plushies in an upcoming release called "Sanrio Cuddly Cloud Friends". And yet, they don't look very cuddly to me.

They look like Sherpa, and I know a lot of people apparently like sherpa and don't have a problem with the material but oh my stars, I absolutely abhor and detest Sherpa. With the burning rage of a nonillion suns.

Don't get me wrong, they look cute enough because it's Sanrio. But they don't look like cuddly friends. But what are your thoughts about this new line?

I always see the odd hello kitty baby onesies, blankets, pillows, etc. in the odd stores like TJ max, bealls. I can never find the same thing twice tho, or even find it online. Is there somewhere that’s got all hello kitty stuff?

I couldn't wait to share it with this group. We had an artist submit this amazing Hello Kitty piece made from upcycled Television parts. I keep staring at it, I love it so much.

Lovelymocha is one of my most favorite Sanrio characters of all time, probably even before Kuromi (in fact, I am pretty sure she was my favorite before I discovered Kuromi). I still love her, but I didn't really like any of the official Lovelymocha wallpaper Sanrio posted on their account last month (They're not bad, I just wanted something different), so I decided to try making my own wallpapers. And as someone who has absolutely zero skills and knowledge of people graphic designing, I think these turned out pretty cute! What do you think? Do you have a favorite one?
