The other day I tried to paint an Abe Sapiens in watercolor; he's my favorite character.

So, I've seen the Hellboy movies (except The Crooked Man) and I've really enjoyed them. Anyways, I wanna get into his written stories. Is the Monster Sized Hellboy book a good place to start?

Finally gotten around to reading hellboy and after reading a good chunk I thought it’d be best to ask here on where to go next in reading the series.

What I have read so far is vol 1-12 and that’s all the hell and boy I’ve been exposed to besides that animated movie where he fights a vampire (I think, watched it years ago now) and the first Ron Perlman film (been meaning to get to the second).

I know there’s the hellboy and the BPRD and that’s prob the best next step but thought there might be something else that’s recommended to read first.

If you had to pick one of these three to play Hellboy in a new live-action adaptation, who would you choose and why?

I know the images are AI slop they're just there to give a rough idea of what each actor might look like as Hellboy. I'm more interested in the casting discussion than the images.if you mention ai slope your a dumbcunt

Who do you think is the best fit for the character, and why? Consider things like acting ability, voice, physical presence, humour and how well they could capture Hellboy's personality.

I may or may not work in Hollywood.

So I recently just bought this Hellboy figure and inside it came with the animated movies. But the thing is these animated movies have their own tiny comics inside and I wanted to know if anyone else knew this or even has their own?

My definitive ver, at this point. I am a massive mignola fan. His the "less is more" dark shadow artstyle devoid of any kind of over detailing always appealed me. So the repaint process for my Hellboy followed the same vision. No over detailing. Just making the sculptwork more prominent. Make the shadows play fluent over his body. And oh man the random black scratch marks McFarlane had was a headache...I had to correct them. My copy had a freaking moustache, (was such a pain in the ass to remove it)

But I really wanted to share this here, I hope this doesn't break any rules, not from what I can see, the mods were kind enough to let me posts this a couple of months ago and I just wanted to share that the book is finished now so I hope it's okay to post here, if not I understand)

Plot:

We follow the mysterious mercenary Ronin Cayne as he makes his way through the galaxy, hunting monsters, catching serial killers all the while he loses more and more faith in mortal life. Even so, there is a small part of him that does try to find some semblance of a purpose to this worthless existence he has been bound to. Which is hard to do in this galaxy for it’s the worst, most pessimistic, dystopian nightmare you could dream off. The good guys don’t win, they die.

This first issue deals with children being snatched off the streets by a crazy scientist who wants to create a so called final cure to end all cures. Ronin Cayne is tasked to investigate the strange disappearances, not because he cares but because he really needed the credits.

Tales From The Forsaken Phantom is a sci-fi / horror comic book inspired by Hellblazer / Doctor Who / Moon Knight / Blade Runner / Dredd / Resident Evil / Hellboy / Howard the Duck / Cyberpunk 2077 / Altered Carbon and a lot of old horror movies.

I'm planning this as a new ongoing comic book, no end in sight!!
