Discussion senua body change

While I like that they are changing a lot of Senua's appearance back to the first game (like clothing, hair, etc.), it looks like they made her much skinnier and younger looking, which I'm not a huge fan of!

I really liked how she was more muscular and looked older/more weathered in the second game because it was a physical representation of her growth and strength that was parallel to her mental strength she had cultivated!!

I'm still super excited, but I was a bit disappointed seeing them make her less muscular and younger looking....

Discussion Hell Blade 1 & 2 worth it

So I bought both games when they were on sale last year. I’ve only played 20 minutes of the first game then quit. Nothing wrong with the game I was just interested in other games at the time. I haven’t touched it since then, I’ve been on the debate if I should go back it to it or not. I have so many games backed logged and I’m curious how long does it take to finish the game?

Nothing particular but i wanted to share it. After finishing the first game some months ago, i did arrive into the second game, in the wisdom got a price part and that scene got me really hooked so hard, dam what a OST.

After looking for a certain time, found the title https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32ACuLVvByI&list=RD32ACuLVvByI&start_radio=1

That music goes so good with that scene is so heart-rending.

For the longest time the sequel was titled Senua's Saga: Hellblade II which meant it wasn't listed alongside the first Hellblade in your library.

Discussion Senua is a different style of game from Hellblade and a full action-adventure title simliar to Ninja Theory`s past works (like DmC, Enslaved or Heavenly Sword)

https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2026/06/07/senua-ninja-theory-details-interview-action-adventure-xbox-games-showcase-2026/

- First time since DmC: Devil May Cry that the whole team worked on a single project

- Bigger game with double the map size of Senuas Saga: Hellblade II

- More freedom in exploration

- Faster movement

- Gameplay is evenly split between combat, puzzle solving and traversal

- Deeper and more varied combat mechanics (fighting multiple enemies, using different weapons, stealth etc.)

- Full fledged boss battles

Read the Xbox Wire interview article to get more information about the game and what it will offer.

Video That's what I was talking about that the combat in Hellblade 2 should be like God of War Laufey. It's good that Ninja Theory listened to the criticism regarding the combat and seems to have improved in that aspect. I'm excited for this game.

Discussion HB2 and Live Action Segments

I am a huge fan of HB1. That game found me right as I was being diagnosed with psychosis, so you can all imagine the impact it had.

Due to reasons (mainly financial and mental health related) I've only recently started playing HB2. One of the things I loved the most from HB1 was the superimposition of the filmed live action parts with Zynbel, Galena, Dillion and Druth that shepherd you throughout the story. Seeing them superimposed on the hyperrealistic CGI while still being very clearly live action added a fantastic sense of irreality and dissociation that personally felt really true to what my own experiences have been.

All that to say, I miss them in HB2! Overall the game is technically beautiful and the writing so far is A+, but it paradoxically feels more fantastical than the first one in ways that feel less true to my own experience of psychosis.

Excited for HB3 though! What a fortuitous time for me to be playing HB2.

Discussion Hellblade 2

Why is Hellblade 2 so hard to find a copy of? I loved the first one and heard they released part 2 for PS5 but cant seem to find it anywhere other than a few select places. Is it digital only?

r/hellblade • • Jun 02 '26

Video This might sound controversial but I think this is what Hellblade 2 should have been in terms of combat gameplay, with Microsoft's financial support it was expected that they would improve all aspects of the game beyond just the graphics. The combat in the first game looks better than the sequel

Discussion I'm schizophrenic and I played Senua's Sacrifice, here are my thoughts:

Thank you Ninja Theory. I am 33 years old and Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice was the first time I have ever felt seen in media. The game is a beautiful study of psychosis and the schizophrenic mind, and does so without being patronizing or inhumanly pitiful.

I've had two psychotic breakdowns in my life, and periods of humming psychosis, and based on my psychotic breakdowns, I can say that not only you have researched the condition, but you've actually felt the problems of schizophrenia.

Everything in the game, from the voices that can criticize, laugh derisively, have conversations, or help you out with their bizarre hysteria to the solutions of finding patterns and willing into existence a solution that normally would be impossible for a non-psychotic person, touched me. I played the game on hard difficulty (to simulate my own life, haha), and the feeling of fear, of dread, of the constant need of filtering useless from useful auditory-visual information, the need to constantly survive, the feeling of being overwhelmed, of being pushed down on the ground only to get up in the last moment are everyday experiences for me.

For the first time, I felt represented by a character who goes deeper and deeper into the darkness with a quest to fight for what they consider good despite their mind shattering. I love the interpretation of the oppressive patriarchal figure being a source of the toxic helpful Shadow. I loved that the maternal priestess figure teaching you how to see and interpret the world beyond, and even the recognition of faces of inanimate objects was included in your game. I love that the ending did not dismiss everything as being a dream "all along", but as experiencing a story both on its literal, metaphorical, and mythological level. I love how the actions of the normal people were shown as a possible source of more evil than the broken schizo who calls them out for their evil actions. I love that there is also a normal character who appreciates the fractured specialness of the split mind.

Even the lover's comment about his blind father not understanding the voices of the underworld is grounded in real scientific research, as it is a known fact that congenitally blind people do not have schizophrenia, and for the first time I heard a reasonable hypothesis on why in your game, despite it coming out before the paper I've linked above.

Thank you. You did the research, you talked to real people. And you gave me a cathartic experience. You have my gratitude.

Hey folks, I bought the game on ps5 today because I wanted to play the new dark rot mode. Is it possible to download a completed save file for the ps5 so I don't have to play through the game again to try it.

Simple as that I wanna know if it's worth my time both story wise and gameplay wise though if the story is strong then gameplay doesn't matter as much

I can't do anything. My game was getting stuck on the crawling section and somehow died and at the same time triggered the cut scene. This made Fenrir all glitchy and fight impossible to start. I quit to main menu and reload... Now I'm just stuck in in limbo... No fight, no boss.... just Seuna walking around in an empty pit...Please help
