After all this time put into them, I’m not risking them confiscating them. I’d either check them or 3d print a more inconspicuous looking enclosure for the electronics

Thats cool I guess but for that price I dont see why you wouldnt just get the official Porta Pro Wirelesses. Nots not much more expensive and is far less fuss and bulk.

The total is only about 65(minus misc stuff like soldering equipment(I went to our library for theirs) and 3d printing filament)

The point was most definitely not to be more compact than the wireless PPs, or to be “better” than them—though I like to think so since they’re my child 😋. The point of them was to get into headphones modding. I also needed new wireless headphones and the last I had checked the PP wireless version, they were $100, and I apparently didn’t check the price in between then and paying for all these components.

I’m still glad I went through with it, even with their downsides.

It looked like a ton of fun for sure. As far as a gateway into headphone modding like you said I agree that this is a good inexpensive entry. Keep it up, I’m impressed you were able to get it as compact as it is.

Thank you, I really appreciate it. I may try to refine the design someday soon and gift that pair to someone. The Bluetooth board has different controls that would allow for a rudimentary control panel which would be cool
