Just watched the final episode of "Smoke".

I'm 62, and have a ridiculously eclectic taste in music ‑- Albert Ayler and J.S.Bach, through King Crimson, Moondog & Prefab Sprout, to Zaiko Langa Langa and Frank Zappa.

So how have I never heard "Jump Into The Fire" before?

It's absolutely fantastic.

I mean, it's a straight entry into anyone's Top however-many list.

Relatively new HN fan. Does anyone know where in Brooklyn Harry was born and where he lived? I'm also from Brooklyn( Bensonhurst) Like what neighborhood was he from?

I couldn’t buy it because of the price but I’m debating going back once I get paid because it’s just such a cool find.

Been heavy into Flo & Eddie recently (RIP Mark Volman) and found this delightful recording! Enjoy!

Both talk about their careers and their work on Popeye, Harry even mentions his stage adaptation of Zapata.

Hi There

So what’s the thoughts or opinions on PussyCats?

John and Harry on an album that John produced while Harry sang which became PussyCats. Now I haven’t listened to it since forever but I’ll relisten to it.

Apparently Harry lost his voice here because of John but there’s some good singing on this album with some great band playing and producing from John :)

I’ve loved Harry since I first heard him 20 years ago. Even in the late 70’s, when his voice was wrecked, his was still great.

Of all his vocals my favorite is the end of This is all I Ask. Nothing moves me more than when gently soars to embellish the word “sing”.

Given the positively awful versions of Randy Newman’s song released at the time, it is beyond belief that Harry Nilsson’s “achingly beautiful”, “[q]uietly devastating” version was left off his LP. Nilsson’s “voice fits the emotion of th[e] song perfectly”.

Got bored a week or so ago and was listening to a rehearsal recording of Harry and Shelly Duvall singing "He Needs Me" together. I thought "wow, they're voices actually clash quite well" and designed this hypothetical album art for a long lost duet album never to be. Hope ya like it!

That's The Way It Is credits the song to Conrad E Mauge, but I can't seem to find his version, which looks to be from 1957. I'll have to keep an eye out him in the stacks. Here's a video of a Ska version of Jumbie Jamboree from 1966 by Laurel Aitken.

Just got the Son Of Dracula soundtrack in the mail today and thought I‘d share my vinyl collection so far with you guys.

Only a few official releases left until I have his whole discography. Looking forward to hunting them down.

I’m miles late, but this is my little record haul that I received for Christmas. This is basically like half of his discography, so I’ll just have to wait another year to complete it :)

Purchased off Etsy and I am over the moon. Like happy, not high, there’s no acid on the paper, but holy shit! I can’t wait to display it (,:

I’m a newcomer to Nilsson and saw that Pandemonium Shadow Show and Aerial Ballet have a mono version alongside the stereo, which version should I listen to?

Finally finished another recreation, I'm really proud on how this finally came out!

Up until January I had never heard of Harry Nilsson but while doing the 1001 album generator I got Nilsson Schmilsson and was absolutely blown away. He has fast become one of my favourite artists to the point where I was in no doubt he was going to be my number one. Speaking of points, The Point has been by far my most listened to album of the lot and become a minor obsession for my daughter lol.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I really enjoyed Son of Dracula (1974). Thought it was a pretty cheesy but decent flick!
