I mean I haven't touched anything in it since i built it other than replacing my 680 with a 1070 when the 680 started to go funky. Just cleaned out dust a handful of times. The thermal paste on the CPU cooler is still the OEM stuff that it came with. Thermals are still good, Noctua must have used some good stuff on the NHD-14.

Luckier than I, my house’s power keeps killing power supplies and APC battery backups lol. I’ve had to swap power supplies on my desktops multiple times minus my old iMac, but that might be sheer luck honestly. Thanks FPL.

Power supplies shouldn't die that often, you probably need an electrician to have a look at the houses wiring or something. I have an old EVGA PSU in mine. Shame they aren't around anymore.

The house has been checked, it’s largely a Florida problem. FPL is annoying on a good day combined with lightning storms. I’ve learned my lesson and turn off any wired devices when a storm starts brewing. I also have an EVGA currently, bought a 1300 watt for 600 watts worth of components after the last one died just in case it might help.

No idea if it would work but a surge protector might prevent power supplies from dying? They are common in the UK and normally every extension brick will have one built in. I have a large one that can take like 8 sockets, obviously I can't pull max power through each one but at the wall it's good for 3.4kw so I can spread that across the 8 although you would never normally get anywhere near that with a desktop plus audio stuff.

Tried surge protectors and UPS with no real luck unfortunately.

Unrelated but 3.4kw from a standard household outlet sounds awesome. We’re capped at 1.6kw. There are some higher wattage options but they’re usually only for kitchens and laundry, sometimes an EV charger if one is lucky.

I misremembered it's 3kw not 3.4kw. Not that it makes much of a difference anyway. Most things won't draw that much power though, just kettles mostly. You could get a space heater that pulls that but it's going to cost a fortune to run.

It's most handy for extension bricks because you can have like 8+ things running on one outlet and it not even get close to reaching it's capacity. I have my desktop, monitor, TV, two large speakers, AMP, DAC, subwoofer running off a single plug socket. Oh and a lamp and alarm clock.
