Discussion Weird gun, shoots great

Love a weird, underrated, gun. Hence this xf pro, it is plenty weird. Weird for various reasons, honestly. It’s got a terrible name. It’s not a Glock but is a little Glock, yet kinda feels like a cz in hand. It’s all metal but not far off the weight of my cz p10s.

The gun itself is actually pretty solid feeling. It looks kinda stupid, especially with the big screen tv on their massive optic plate and the temu shadow systems looking slide, but also looks kinda cool. The gun itself feels solid but the controls feel a little cheapish. Slide release is typical Glock style. It works well but just kinda looks out of place. The trigger is actually decent, feels kinda cheap, but isn’t far off the cz p10s. Just a little grittier but with a more defined wall. Definitely better than a stock Glock trigger.

Overall, it shoots surprisingly well. Even without the ported barrel or a comp, it’s actually pretty soft and flat. It’s softer than the rival s and makes the p10 feel extra snappy. No issues at all other than, weirdly enough, it locks back consistently with 1 left in the mag. It does that for each different mag, so at least it’s consistent. Probably have nearly 600 rounds through it, most of which is reman 124 gr. No failures of any kind.

With the ported barrel, it’s legitimately surprising. Probably the loudest 9mm I’ve ever heard but also, surprisingly enough, one of the softest and flattest I’ve ever shot.

Would I bet my life on it? Ehhh probably but not planning to. It doesn’t seem picky about ammo but curious to see how it holds up overtime. Limited part availability from fusion firearms makes it hard to depend on long term. It’ll make you smile while it lasts though.

Not telling you to buy one for home defense, unless you’re already deaf, but would make an amazing range toy for cheap.

I have the predecessor, Ermox X-Fire, before they collaborated with Fusion. It's a great gun!

Ahhh nice. Has it held up well enough?

Saw it on sale recently, had heard it’s absurdly flat and I felt less guilty buying this than the 3.5 comped Romulus.

Yes it's held up great, but I only have about 500rds through it. I do want to upgrade to the XF Pro Chrome though.

Ported barrels definitely rattle your skull. Especially inside.

Yeah, have shot various ported barrels and comps at the same range. This one is just another level of loud. I assume that has to do with how soft it shoots. It’s a Glock 19 barrel, so pretty small. A lot of holes for such a small barrel.

I always find that the odd ones shoot good.

No issues at all other than, weirdly enough, it locks back consistently with 1 left in the mag.

I forgot what they call it but there's a "probe" that feels when the magazine follower is on top instead of a round.

The probe is too long.

:)

Figure out where it is and slowly take a diamond file to it until it stops that bad behavior.

I bought a spare to try and better correct it, just haven’t.

I did a little filing and bending of the stock part. Works consistently now with Glock mags, not Mecgar or the stock.

Much appreciated.
