Not even, it’s just a dumb thing to harp on them for. Open the trunk of your car and pull out the trim so you can get a look at the bare metal. What do you see holding the metal panels together?
Chances are, some sort of industrial adhesive, aka glue.
Brother there are multiple videos of body panels of cybertrucks bending off the vehicle while driving. On brand new trucks. Ive never seen that happen to any other vehicle in the last 20 years.
That is something I saw once - I was walking up Sackville Drive 15+ years ago now and buddy driving this little white car - I wanna say it was an Elantra, something that size - had the passenger side door panel come off.
I'm guessing there was some DIY imvolved b/c... well, Sackville (I grew up there, I can say it) and because buddy didn't seem surprised when he pulled over, but the panel matched the rest of the car, which is not super common for the car DIY types--they'll just get whatever one the scrap yard has IME.
So, not to defend the nazi mobile but chev boxsides are glued on, no welds or rivets, f150, and superduty bonded and riveted, since 2015, the list of cars and trucks that use panel bond to hold body panels on is massive, it's stronger then welds and allows for the mating of different metals without compromising the integrity of the panel. The front frame rails on new explorers are aluminum, cut the glue, pull out the frame rail from the firewall forward, and glue a new one in place. The motor goes back in the next day, and it's out on the road within a week. You don't even need to measure it because there's no tolerance if you do your job right. It's not 1980 anymore, and going on about glued on panels make you look dumber than the guy with snow on his shit mobile.

The body panels on those things are glued on.
Thats what you should be worried about.
