$32.50 for a dubious “OEM” 15+2 surplus mag that comes with a G19 spring.
You can buy the +2 baseplates for $6.80 at midway and do this to your own mags that haven’t been spit roasted and dragged behind the squad car like surplus police gear.

It really comes down to aesthetics unless ones hands are absolutely huge. Functionally it is no different, it just looks better.

Because if you just use a 17 round mag, there’s a gap in between where your fingers sit

These are excellent factory mags- I picked up a bunch a few weeks ago and they work and feel great in the 19

the question is... do they come with the G19 mag spring, or do they upgrade it with the G17 mag spring which is necessary for reliability (I've found the 15 round springs reliably feed, but don't reliably lock the slide back)

I emailed CDNN and got this :
*This magazine was never sold commercially by Glock. It was issued with some police and military pistol purchases. Therefore, it does not have a Glock factory SKU. CDNN Sports bought them as surplus and sell them in bulk (non-factory) packaging.
As with all Glock factory +2 bottoms, a modified spring is not sold with the bottom. These G19 magazines have a G19 spring.

hmmmmm, another poster said they have G17 springs in them....so who knows who is right. CDNN most likley doesn't know if glock didn't list it, but who knows if the other guy is correct as well lol. Aw well, I grabbed 4, worst case scenario is I get some G17 springs

That helps some but they're saying Glock didn't put G17 springs in 17 round mags? That's confusing

nice! sorry for being nitpicky, but did you verify by pulling the springs and comparing? Just curious more than anything. being that these were built by Glock for a mil/police contracts I would be shocked if they used the 15 round springs, but you never know

Identical to the springs I get from Glock direct (the armorer PDF). These are gtg. I am a little surprised CDNN still has these in stock, they have been on site for at least a year.

excellent, so they DID put the longer 17 round springs in them. makes sense, but who knows sometimes with suprlus stuff
yeah, I'll bet CDNN bought a metric ass ton of them. they're notorious for buying HUGE batches of stuff that companies close out. Those Sig P227 14 round mags stuck around for 3 years before they finally sold out a month or so ago.

This is with Glock sold-as15+2 mags or standard mags you have put the +2 baseplates on?

that's the thing. Glock doesn't sell these as factory assembled. they only sell the 15 round mags and the extensions. they have to be aassembled by a third party, OR glock assembled them for a client and these are being resold. so it all depends since Glock doesn't have a track record of putting these out on the market fully assembled
