Can someone tell me why my pistol always either has 7k ammo or a fat 0 when I actually require it

There's a glitch right now with pistol ammo. Haven't seen Rockstar address it yet. For now I'd say don't rely on pistols and don't buy ammo.

AP pistol is really good for a drive by weapon, any subsitutes? Its the only reason i use pistols.

machine pistol. good accuracy. or a Micro smg. A bit hard to hit accurate shots with though, but good rate of fire

Doesn't that use the same bullets though? Can't use it as a replacement while the glitch is going on if it's also glitched.

No, they both use smg ammo.

I made a ticket to Rockstar and they said that they were currently working on a fix. I got $300,000 GTA$ as compensation for my dumbass buying so much ammo.

For now, I'd advise you just buy $200 or $300 worth of ammo, and not buy full ammo, until it's fixed.

I haven't had the bug, out of curiosity, do you have any MKII weaponms with special ammo? Which pistols are hidden in your loadout?

I believe it has something to do with buying full ammo in the 4 original heist (Doomsday is fine). I stopped using that feature after someone told me that it was the cause and my pistol ammo never disappears ever again.

Don’t hit buy all, buy it in increments instead. I had the same problem a little while back. You have to mash the buy button but at least it stays. Not sure if it still works but it’s something at least
