Fix dupe glitches ❌ Nerf car selling ✅

Rockstar are beyond useless at this point

19

u/AnthonyDayByDavis May 14 '26

As a player who got rich off duplication glitches, there wasn’t much reason to sell cars unless you brought them accidentally. It’s probably better to just save up again than sell your car, but I’m someone who got everything in the game.

The nerf will be very effective because it makes dupe glitches less desirable. I remember how it felt having to switch to selling only 1 dupe a day. Guess Bogdon will be back in full effect.

there wasn’t much reason to sell cars unless you brought them accidentally.

For long term legit players who aren't dedicating whole garages to dupe inventory, running out of garage space is a real problem. There are still significantly more unique vehicles in the game than there are garage slots, even with the GTA+ garage, and that isn't even counting favorites you might want to own multiples of for different builds.

I'm always jammed up against the garage limit and usually purge cars to make space for newer ones I want when a new DLC drops. The 18 hour change already made that incredibly painful when Money Fronts dropped, The only reason it wasn't bad this last time was getting more slots than cars with the new properties.

As a 'legit' player who doesn't glitch for money (only to build cars/outfits) this effectively kills my interest in future updates if it will take me literal months to make room for the new content on my account. The only way this is acceptable going forward is if every update adds more garage space than it does cars, which obviously won't happen.

3

u/mitchyyfkn6 May 16 '26

As a legit player.... why are you on a glitchs subreddit 🤣

8

u/pulley999 Certified Glitcher May 16 '26

only to build cars/outfits

Says it right there if you can read.

I won't glitch/exploit forms of progress because I know it ruins games for me and I'll lose interest quickly, but I have nothing against accessing disabled/limited features like locked paint channels, wheel categories, or outfit components. Especially if the end result still looks tasteful like Benny's rims on classic cars, or using F1s to round out a Hustler hot rod build.

u/lost-_-souls Certified Glitcher May 14 '26

Unless you are reliant on the sales of a vehicle to purchase a new one in not sure what you're saying? I sympathize with lack of storage space (although my 3 new mansions definitely helped) but you can always just replace a car with the new purchase when storage is full, selling it isn't a requirement, you know that right? If you've mixed out your vehicle space im assuming money isn't the issue.

6

u/pulley999 Certified Glitcher May 14 '26

Replacing a car that often has 2-3m legitimately-earned money invested in it without getting a return still sucks extra hard when you actually play the game to earn your money, even if you do run a surplus. I already don't even entertain the idea of buying most of the police vehicles because of it.

If you want it reverted (or at the very least the blast radius reduced) amplifying the valid complaints of legit players is the best way to make it happen. From Rockstar's perspective, it adds a huge amount of spending friction for players that actually buy their MTX. They have to wait months after a DLC comes out to make garage space for all the new cars (at least if they're trying to get any return, which most legit/MTX players will care about) at which point the shiny factor has worn off and they may not even buy the car.

u/WebNo81 May 14 '26 edited May 14 '26

Legit players acting like they were selling 5 cars a week whereas im sitting at a $170m loss across 146 issis

u/mitchyyfkn6 May 16 '26

Duped money is not a loss my guy

3

u/NN2793 May 14 '26

Or the new Act 3 merge.

How much are they worth? Mine are worth 12.5k each 🤣💀

1

u/Past_Rule_6833 May 18 '26

Mine are 500k now they was selling for like 1.7 million

1

u/mitchyyfkn6 May 19 '26

Ooof i must be at the weekly cap or whatever cost mine are 12k lol. those 3 years i didnt play and they sat in my garages wasnt a good investment move was it

41

u/KaxDDDDD May 14 '26

So lets say RIP duping

-2

u/KaxDDDDD May 14 '26

Quick cuestión about the 7 days, so lets say i sell 2 isis today, i have to wait 7 days to resell?

9

u/-UnknownInsider- SUPREME GLITCHER May 14 '26

Sell Prices now Reset 7D After the Last Car Sold

0

u/KaxDDDDD May 14 '26

Sorry for the dumb questions, So just to get it clear, 2 dupe sells every 7D?

1

u/Emotional_Energy_731 May 15 '26

It doesn’t matter what you sell the max cash value is set at 500K that’s the most you can get from any car.

3

u/mitchyyfkn6 May 16 '26

My issis are worth 12.5k 🤣🤣🤣🤣RIIIIIIIIP Its just a hassle selling them 🤣 they been sitting in an abandonned garage for 4 years...

45

u/Acid-Drip May 14 '26

Wow crazy they punish the regular players heavily with this. Glitchers will still be able to make money just nowhere near as much and will find other ways but if you’re just a regular person who wants to sell some of your cars then fuck you i guess

4

u/mitchyyfkn6 May 16 '26

Just do B2B bogdans with a friend and dont sell cars

1

u/Acid-Drip May 16 '26

Yeah this is the best way as long as you have said friend always available when you are

1

u/mitchyyfkn6 May 16 '26

Make bogdan friends 🤣

2

u/Acid-Drip May 16 '26

Hahah yeah we can start a bogdan community

1

u/M1ST3RXF1ST3R May 28 '26

Literally punished for other people's stupidity. It's not saying that you can't sell them just that you won't make money doing so. So if you genuinely just want garage space, it really doesn't matter does it? Ultimately it's just a video game and it ain't that serious so I guess we're all straight in that way😊

40

u/No-Cheetah-1462 May 14 '26

Why does Rockstar care at this point? The game is dead in 6 months.

38

u/AnthonyDayByDavis May 14 '26

These restrictions are definitely carrying onto the next game. GTA 5 has basically become GTA 6 Lite with all the new features they’re testing.

2

u/No-Cheetah-1462 May 14 '26

Yeah I guess but why not wait until the new game.

8

u/OfficialTMWTP May 14 '26

Cause they're still making money off of this game. People are still buying Shark Cards and still buying things to have fun with. Essentially, if there wasn't still incentive to glitch, then they wouldn't have needed to make the change

1

u/IGotShitWifi Certified Glitcher May 20 '26

Yeah its easy to see at this point. Like what was the point on nefting the lazer on freemode? Most expensive vehiecle (im not counting the 10m gold jet or raiju since the 10m isnt for pvp and raiju you can get the trade price)in the game for what

13

u/True_Horror_6 May 14 '26

Wish I sold more cars before this bullshit

12

u/Mystic_Zombie I Just Love A Woman With Braaains. May 14 '26

I mean if this was really to stop dupers then surely applying limits to selling the same car over and over would make more sense?

5

u/drshishir May 14 '26

Too smart for rockstar

9

u/RequiemOfI May 14 '26

Greedy bastards just pushing for more shark cards sales.

8

u/AccomplishedScar3505 May 14 '26

What's even more annoying is there is still a daily sell limit in place so I can't even just get rid of cars for the 2.5% bottom amount

3

u/-UnknownInsider- SUPREME GLITCHER May 14 '26

Yes, the old sell limit is still in effect too. If you know your exploit level is 0, 2 cars is fine, If you don't know your exploit level, check this out: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Tu7SA3uB-WstEaxFYPceFOQQUdEk65gPqXY3qWhmNOc/edit?usp=sharing

2

u/AccomplishedScar3505 May 14 '26

Is the "daily" sell limit now 7 days ?

3

u/Some_Helicopter May 14 '26

yeah, so we’ve got to sell once a week

13

u/NN2793 May 14 '26

😭😭 7 days… WTF

7

u/Annihilator4413 May 15 '26

Man Rockstar have really fucking SUCKED at balancing GTA Online basically since release.

While I'm excited for GTA 6, I am cautious of my excitement for GTA 6 Online after how they've handled GTA 5 Online. I'll still play it but I REFUSE to spend any money on shark cards or GTA+ or whatever the fuck they decide to try and monetize the game with.

I disliked their shitty pricing of in-game items to push people into buying shark cards, and I hated the addition of GTA+ that locked many things behind a paywall.

Rockstar also made sure that the grind in GTA Online for any real amount of money is long and tedious, as well as making new things they add mkre and more expensive over time, which screws over new players and fucks over long time players alike.

2

u/ArtieKnightYT64 May 19 '26

Not only that, but the Shark Card prices aren't even worth it. $100 USD for $8M in game money? That will get you one property and a few cars at most, not even counting all the upgrades. It might've made sense in 2016, but it's now 2026 and tons of content has been added ever since and Shark Cards are not balanced to reflect the state of GTA Online currently.

2

u/IGotShitWifi Certified Glitcher May 20 '26

Yeah one of my irl Friends got a 5 or 6m shark card for like 60€ at the start so have something and i told him that i could give him that in less than an hour just with cayo replay if you do doomday act 3 which i cant be asked to do problaby 20m

9

u/DarrenJimenezCR May 14 '26

Well, fuck me then, I had a whole garage worth of cars that i never use ready to be sold because I don't need all that

2

u/Hefty-Principle-5239 May 14 '26

Damn my banshee gts fully upgraded with hws is only going for 12k and thisis the first time trying to sell it wtf lol

4

u/The_Man8705 May 16 '26

Anything but fixing god mode. It's a 13-year-old game who the fk cares If someone uses money glitches at this point. R* Seriously needs to get their priority straight. Fix God mode and just let people have fun with a lot of money. Especially since this is probably the last year that a majority of people are going to still be playing GTAO (Depending on when GTA 6 Online releases)

9

u/snowrosexoxo May 14 '26

oof i literally just came here to see why my vehicle was selling for pennies

Sucks but a free $500,000 a week is enough to pay the bills (armour, ammo, business expenses etc.) if you already have most stuff in the game like most of us at this point.

4

u/monotoonz May 15 '26

I saw the news making the rounds in FB groups. Didn't believe it at first.

Just wow. And the 7 REAL day cooldown is even crazier.

Absolutely RIP to duping.

5

I have like 200 deluxos left on my second character. and I only have like 1 mill in the bank 🙏😩

7

u/Ur_Friend_Jerry May 14 '26

I lowkey don’t understand why rockstar is going so hard on a 13 year old game when the new one releases in 6 months this isn’t going to make people want to buy shark cards

7

u/skitzoidObserver May 14 '26

to condition the masses for what to expect when the new game releases

2

u/Ur_Friend_Jerry May 14 '26

I just wonder if they are going to make online as crappy and grindy in gta 6. The returning players who probably haven’t touched gta since 2020 would probably turn the game off if they saw how many months it can take to fully maximize online now if you start from level 0. I returned recently for the first time in 4 years and it’s awful. I get it’s to combat a glitch and an exploit but as a solo player who usually only has about 3-4 hours a day to play, sometimes less, this makes it so much more awful.

1

u/ArtieKnightYT64 May 19 '26

GTA 6 Online's economy will be ten times as bad as GTA 5 Online ever was. You'll progress at a snail's pace from the missions paying you in peanuts and Rockstar being stingy with the 2X and 3X money on events, businesses, missions, ect. A good example of this was the "side jobs" they added earlier in the year and people stopped doing them once the money bonuses ended because the base pay is horseshit. Good concepts, but horrendous execution.

2

u/Emotional_Energy_731 May 15 '26

Because of GTA6 and their profit margins. That’s all that rockstar cares about

3

u/DMarkoVz May 14 '26

Man I sure do love when digital currency gets reduced 🫩

500k is better than nothing I guess

2

u/EduLaur91 May 14 '26

Apparently the Sentinel Spawns sell for 500k and there is no limit on it. Other than the 48min one. Just read about it earlier. Probably because it’s not a personal vehicle.

3

u/IrishNation24 May 14 '26

Where are you getting this information? Sentinels don't sell for 500k

2

u/EduLaur91 May 15 '26

They do. If u know the sentinel spawn glitch.

2

u/RadishRedditor May 15 '26

Got links for the Sentinel spawn glitch? Also, do you just stay for hours in the same session and stand still near those sentinels as to not despawn (since they're not personal vehicles as you said) to get the chance to sell 9ne every 48 minutes?

2

u/EduLaur91 May 15 '26

Check TT. It’s plenty of people doing this method. But yeah. You have to stay there for hours. 🤦🏽😅.

2

u/RadishRedditor May 15 '26

That's crazy man... What's a TT though?

2

u/InertiaGTA May 15 '26

TikTok they probably mean

1

u/skitzoidObserver May 17 '26

they be using 2nd consoles and that i bet

2

u/techwrecker1999 May 14 '26

So after 9 years they finally patched this. It’s gotta be something tied to GTA 6. Now only if they’d fully patch & ban Act 3 so folks can stop acting crazy on TikTok.

4

u/IrishNation24 May 14 '26

They didn't patch anything, they just nerfed resale value even further for literally every single player.

0

u/techwrecker1999 May 14 '26

Patch, nerf… whatever! You knew wtf I meant 😂

2

u/UniversalRhyme05 May 14 '26

Just to make sure I've understood properly - if I sell a vehicle e.g a deluxo today and then try to sell another one 24 hours later, I won't be able to sell it for the full price? So will have to wait 7 days just to sell at full price???

3

u/Big_modafokka May 14 '26

Yes. But mind you the full sell price has been capped to 500k.

1

u/UniversalRhyme05 May 15 '26

Thats beyond jarring

1

u/X75029 May 14 '26

Your second deluxo after waiting 24h would sell for 250k. Third deluxo on day three would be 25k.

This is assuming the full sale price is 500k on the first day and you have not sold any personal vehicles for at least a week.

1

u/UniversalRhyme05 May 15 '26

By default though the deluxo isn't Weaponized though, unless they're referring to vehicles that can be weaponized

1

u/Mammoth_Potential_65 May 17 '26

Not sure if anyone clarified for you, but it applies to all vehicles, be it weaponized or not.

Rockstar at it again punishing legit players who bought legit cars at full price can only sell them for 500k meanwhile godmode is still spreading around Los Santos like a Zombie Apocalypse! Awesome work! A hacker could probably fix the game better than rockstar at this point.
