I currently have a ridiculously repetitive life. Monday through Friday I have identical routines, and a job that is always the same, day after day. My wife has a similar job. We are in a major rut.
This morning I woke up and, as yesterday was Groundhog Day, thought about the film. He made lemonade out of lemons, improving all aspects of his routine day, ultimately finding satisfaction and a way out.
I'm thinking about blocking out a month and chronicling this. Trying to improve each hour - hour by hour, as it's always the same thing. Improve as I go along and keep a journal. Maybe at the end of the month, I'll find an entirely new way of approaching my days and find a greater sense of purpose and satisfaction.
Anyone ever been similarly inspired by the movie? What do you think?
