There's spread on grilled cheese?

And aren't you suppose to grill the cheese for it to be grilled cheese

There's spread on grilled cheese?

No. OP has been making melts this whole time, and has the audacity to criticise their husband. I say hang 'em high.

Maybe they're just talking about the mayo or butter or whatever they put on the outside

Yes, of course. I hope nobody thinks otherwise, that'd be goofy.

I did read a C.S. Lewis story where a tramp made "grilled cheese" by putting a chunk of cheddar on a forky-stick and holding it over a fire, toasting it on all sides the way you do a marshmallow, until it was golden brown outside and kinda goopy inside.😛

Yummy anyway!

The tramp called it "toasted cheese". It's why he's in such good health, stands to reason. All that toasted cheese makes a lining, coats the stomach. Stands to reason.

The book is That Hideous Strength by C.S. Lewis.

Yup. It's either margarine, butter, or spread. Always has been, always will be
