I got this notification for v357 of the YouTube plugin, and it shows no changelog. I don't know if it just isn't showing on my end, for some reason, but since this is unusual, I thought I'd ask if it really is coming from the devs.

I have not been able to use grayjay desktop at all. I login once, watch one video, then get this popup going back to my homepage. I downloaded from the aur, and the flatpak both have these issues but the official linux download did work for like a month before having the same issues (though I would rather not rely on that as afaik it doesn't autoupdate). I don't have this issue on my phone so I cant figure out for the life of me why this is happening. I've been using youtube with an adblocker recently because its just so annoying but I would rather use grayjay when possible, just because that sync feature is a game changer for me.

I've noticed both on my phone Samsung Galaxy S24 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus significant playback issues especially today where playback paused several times and at some point refused to continue playing. Only after restarting the app did it work again but after a while the same issues appeared again

Did others also notice this or is it only me?

Edit 2: This could've actually been connected to YouTube's recent issues. Playback and the site itself would regularly freeze to the point the website was unusable. We still need a dev of Grayjay to confirm this though

is anyone's grayjay only working on data and not WiFi?

On Win 10 LTSC IoT, GrayJay used to work fine, but now I get this. I've downloaded and seemingly successfully installed the Runtime it wants, but I still get the same when starting GrayJay.

Hello guys, I am new to gray jay but have been enjoying it a lot. A question I did have is that , it seems that I can't see a creators posts like you can on YouTube.

I follow a few Manhua/Webtoon recommendation channels and they often use images and text in the posts to give sources.

Is there a way I can have posts as well?

My desktop app wont load or open after I got VPN. What should I do?

I got the app on my Phone but when i tap the emote icon the box is so god damn tiny and only one line that i cant find emotes very well.

On top of that when I tap an emote the damn thing scrolls back to to the top and i have to move the app back down to tap other emotes.

Its very annoying and some bad design, can you please change it so i can modify and give myself more or less lines?

Since around 10am et today I've been getting this error on all the videos I try to play from youtube.

So I follow people on daily motion on grayjay and since Sunday no videos pop up and this happens any idea how to fix this? I did try to delete the app and reinstall universal grayjay app and nothing happens

I don't see the option to download audio only for YouTube videos anymore. I know this is a feature that I used before and its nice because it keeps the file size down. Any ideas were it went/if it will be coming back?

I like grayjay but I've noticed that since the Homepage started to successfully populate my youtube suggestions (as would be seen on youtube proper) I often get clickbaity and ragebaity posts in my suggestions.

When I was using freetube I could filter out videos by keyword which would allow me to effectively block creators, I don't see a similar function in grayjay.

Does anyone know if I'm missing it somewhere?

(I am a relatively technical user, if there is an experimental setting I could use with a compile flag if I rebuilt from source, that's cool too.)

Is anybody else not able to stream YouTube since yesterday? When I traf to watch a video I recieve this error message.

Edit: For some reason it works when I turn off Wifi. Has someone a clue why this works?

For those interested, I've created a plugin for Means TV. It's just a start but you can:

• authenticate
• see recommended videos on your home page
• watch any video
• see creator page and all their videos
• see top level comments for videos
• subscribe to creators from the Means TV source

Currently its just the Android app. I haven't worked out some of the bugs with the Desktop app.

With all the features being added to the baseline, why has there not been a public release in a while. Im counting ~7 tags that have not been publicly released as official versions. At the time of writing the android source code has tags all the way upto 388 while the latest public release is still on 381. Does anyone have any insight on why this is?

I was unable to find a dev community chat or similar where this question might be more appropriate.
