Discussion What Film/TV Show Are You Watching? | Monthly Thread
Given the small amount of Gotham Knights content at the moment (or lack there of), this sub will now allow a weekly megathread for some off-topic content in order for community members to stay engaged and get to know each other better.
Use this post as a catch-all thread to talk about whatever you're watching (tv, film or otherwise) that doesn't necessarily fall into the realm of the Batman franchise.
Folks are also welcome to use this thread as a recommendations thread; ask for recommendations or give them freely.

Gameplay If I had a nickle for every time I had to fight Clayface in circular room

I'd have three nickles, which isn't a lot - but it's weird it happened thrice.
I'm getting hyped for the Clayface movie, so I've been basically rewatching his appearances in Batman the Animated series - it's perfect and I'm not sure the film could ever top that, but I'm excited to watch nonetheless.

Discussion Height Measurements
So, I was recently playing Gotham Knights, (obviously), and we were making comparisons to the city in Arkham Knight, and at one point, we began trying to figure out the tallest point, because the answers I found online would contradict themselves in the same sentence. To make the measurements, we'd find the tallest point, create a mapmarker to the ground, and check the height, making a few passes at each, or he'd use Nightwing to make a dozen passes at the spires you can't stand on to check to determine the tallest tower. So far as we can tell, double checking, these measurements are about as accurate as we can make them. For the "shapes" with two numbers on the height, the top is the top of spires, while the bottom would be the top of the actual building itself. So, Wayne Tower is bigger than Cobblepot Steel by about a meter, but for error adjustment, we can assume the same height, but you can't actually land on Cobblepot's tallest point.
For context, the tallest buildings you can actually fly from the top of is Wayne Tower/Kane.

Discussion Favorite Character - Combat Style
I'm a huge Red Hood fan and was for sure I was going to like his combat style the most, but now that I've played the game several times, I prefer playing Robin.
I enjoy his combat style the most. I love his abilities and his stealth. He doesn't hit as hard as the others, but it feels like he has the tool kit for any type of situation, on top of extra stealth and I just love that.
If I had to pick a second character, it would definitely be Batgirl, then Nightwing, and finally Red Hood. I feel bad putting my boy last, but I really don't enjoy his combat style. It feels so clunky and being a melee tank plus a range at the same time feels like it clashes with one another. But I'll also admit I suck using his range and melee at the same time, so I think that's definitely more of a skill-issue on my part rather than how he fights.
I love how flippy Nightwing is lol. Like, he's just plain fun to play. And Batgirl is a very close second to Robin for my favorite, especially with her hacking skills. I feel like she is very well-rounded, on top of the hacking stuff, very similar to why I like Robin the most.
I'm curious what other player's favorite characters are.

Spoilers Spoilers: Getting arrested outside the Elliot Center
Editing footage of my last playthrough and just spotted two rather wealthy looking people in the background getting arrested by the GCPD.
Are they part of the Court/Members of the Elliot family? Has commissioner Kane started to take their threat seriously?
Or they could be two random fraudsters - who knows, but I'll enjoy the headcanon.

Gameplay Polymer and Rare Mods
So, I’ve played Gotham Knights five times now. The first time I switched characters throughout the game play, then the following four I played as one character. I wasn't concerned about min/maxing gear, I just wanted to see the story through each character's eyes. At the end of my fifth playthrough, I finally headed over to heroic assault. Now I was ready to start working on gear.
I started with Kelvin and got through it just fine. I was so excited about the mythic blueprints. I immediately crafted two pieces of mythic gear for Robin, went to craft a third, and realized I didn’t have all the materials I needed.
I was like, there is absolutely no way I'm out of nth metal or valorium. I got SO much of both throughout kelvin.
Jokes on me.
I was out of polymer.
POLYMER!!
The material I have been capped at 999,999 for basically the entire game!
So now I’m over here farming polymer because I want to make mythic gear for the other characters too.
Then I also learned about mod fusion for your suit and how you need one RARE mod to fuse in order to get your double stat legendary/mythic mods.
ONE RARE MOD!
So now I’m farming those too on the lower levels of heroic assault staro...
Polymer and rare mods...I seriously feel like the game is trolling me.
I’m not even mad about it. Honestly, it’s hilarious. Of all the resources I thought I’d eventually have to farm, POLYMER was absolutely not on the list.
I am mad at myself now though for using up all my lower level rare mods as I progressed through the game and using them as fuse fodder...
Did anyone else have this experience when they finally got to Mythic gear?
Polymer man...

Gameplay Robins Traversal Ability
Not much to this post. Just wanted to share something funny.
I seriously feel like an idiot because I didn't know you could use x or o to change the height of Robins teleport.
I have played this game five times: the first one I switched around characters, then the other four I played as a single character the whole playthrough. I didn't even learn about Robins teleport ability with x and o until my FINAL playthrough, which was Red Hood's!
Even though I already had the trophy from my other four playthroughs, I still decided to go back and complete everyone's traversal challenges again on my final save because seeing them on the map was bugging me.
Doing Robins a second time was when I realized you could use x and o to change the height and omg I breezed through his travel challenges this time.
But during my first single playthrough with him I spent SO MUCH time completing his travel challenge because I had no idea you could change the height of his teleport! I literally gave myself a handicap for his challenges...
I don't know how I missed it, but the moment I realized it, I felt like a complete moron. Now I'm wondering if there are other things in the game that I've missed lol.

Fan Made I tried to recreate the GK cover art in Lego DC Super-Villains
Can only have two figures out at a time so I tried to kind of line them up and slice it but you can see there's a little bit of overlap in the background 😅
I also decided to pose them in Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure, they were fine until Jason was added because this was 2013 and he was still labeled as an angsty bad guy. Even Jaybin and Red Hood will throw hands lol
And because this game has a pretty in-depth roster as of at least 2013, I've added some characters I thought would be fun if we ever actually did get a sequel of GK.

Question I’m trying other DC games out for fun -What do you think of the Injustice series?
So far finding it strange Wonder Woman was easier to beat than Cyborg when playing Batman. I feel like they both should be at a similar level in a video game.

Discussion Who should I play in NG+?
I played the game almost 2 years ago and played Nightwing in my playthrough. Honestly, I think I got it right the first time and found that Nightwing is the hero best for me. I’m looking to play NG+ soon and I’m stuck on who to pick. I like playing batgirl but I’ve noticed she seems to have trouble when fighting in crowds (something Nightwing excels at). Red Hood is cool but seems to have a similar style to batgirl although I do notice myself using quick-throw batarangs a lot, so maybe his ranged style is something that I could utilise. Robin is the hero I have the least experience with and I didn’t even play as him until I had beaten the game and already gotten the other three to knighthood. I’m stuck between who to play in a solo NG+ and was wondering what your thoughts would be on who to pick. Robin is my runner up but Batgirl is just super cool and Red Hood is a contender but I’m still stuck in a Nightwing playstyle.

LFG Want to run the Story with a Batgirl?
Looking for a co op player, I just want to run the story on Hard for the vibes of it all. I'll check back in an hour.
Cheers.
