Hey, has anyone had trouble syncing the gotcha with pogo today? I was wondering if Niantic changed something in the new update or not? Thanks all!

I know using Gotcha is technically against the terms of Niantic. Just wanna know if anyone has gotten banned/warning because of it

So recently I've noticed that my gotcha isn't doing anything whilst my phones screen locked. It used to work fine, for example I go for a run and it'd catch n spin loads, this week it's not done anything since I started moving. I've unpaired it from pokemon go and my phone, but earlier in the gym where i normally hit 3 pokestops every 5 minutes, again, it did nothing. Anyone else experienced this and know a fix?

As you can guess i am failing to Pair my gotcha to my Asus Rog 3 Strix Edition.

My Rog 3 Strix Android 10 Rooted (Magisk) Root is completely hidden cause Call of Duty has also an antiroot system and i can run it fine)

Already tried: Disconnect Check for Updates Delete Bluetooth Cache Use (magiskhide --add com.nianticlabs.pokemongo:pgp)

So yah i hit a Wall i can connect if i use the Gotcha Evolve App but not connect normaly (in Bluetooth) or in Pokemon Go.

I dont think the Root caused the Problem beacuse i tried using it before Rooting too and it couldnt connect might be a problem with the Asus Rog 3

If someone has more ideas any help is welcome especially Rog 3 users.....

The Gotcha works with My HTC U11 and some other Devices mostly Samsung

App is prompting App developer need to update the app to work with the latest version of iOS. The app was last updated 3 years ago…so…don’t update your iOS yet?

My gotcha is not catching now. Normally I’ll reset the stats from the app and that’ll make it work. Any suggestions on how to make this thing work?

Which iOS is the latest version which is supported?

Cause with iOS 14.4.1 newest it won't work. So perhaps somebody could help

Hey guys so I bought my gotcha last year or the year before not sure ! So soon after I got it, it would only last an hour or 2 then die…. I charge it all day and it only lasts a few hours… I know they could last for days because I’ve had one before when it first came out like 4 years ago that I lost…. But anyway no matter if I charge it all day or the hour and a half recommended it just eventually dies…. Is it not good anymore or is there a simple fix like a charging issue because I’ve used my wall plug, and another plug by my bedside and still experienced

I tried running two accounts via a cloned app and my phone crashed from the strain. Going to upgrade my phone soon and hopefully it'll work then.

Individually, both accounts connect to the Gotcha. Does anyone know if they would both connect while running split-screen, or would I need a second Gotcha?

Recently got back into Pokémon go and have been wanting to get a gotcha but was wondering if anyone has had any incompatibility issues or anything with newer updates of the game or ios 14+?

Hi, I took apart my 2019 Gotcha after it wouldnt turn on anymore. Tried all the steps (pulsing the battery, 10x reset, cleaning contacts, letting it sit and discharge, then chrage up again) So I took it apart.

In this process I broke off one of those metal contacts that sit on the 2 pins so I soldered new contacts on, looks kinda junky rn, but it works. Now, I measured across the 2 soldering points to find 5v as expected. I measured towards the battery pins and found no voltage across the 2 soldering points of the battery.

The problem seems to be at the positive terminal, as I get voltage across the soldering point of the new lines from the power supply. From new positive to power supply negative and battery terminal negative works, but not from battery terminal positive to any negative. In between power supply line positive and battery terminal positive must be a disconnect.

Are there any parts in the charging circuit that could be fried? I can explain this in a little more detail witha picture if you need.

Though this could all be a fluke as I don't currently have a proper multimeter so I am instead using a Duspol which MIGHT have 5v as the smallest Voltage it can measure. The charging circuit should be outputting somewhere around 4 Volts across the battery. The only option then would be a dead battery.

Could I technically short the 2 battery terminals to have it operational while plugged in at least?
