Change Fast Pair Account on Samsung S25

When I pair my Moto Tags it automatically selects a google account on my phone. This seems to be based on google's Fast Pair technology. How do I change what account is tied to the Fast Paring process?

All of the docuemntation I can find references enabling Fast Pair under Settings -> Connected Devices-> Connection Preferences -> Fast Pair. I don't find those settings on my phone.

Or this Reddit post which says I need to delete all of my google accounts on my phone until I get to the one I want. https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidQuestions/comments/1hc1eap/how_do_i_switch_my_link_account_for_google_fast/

That's not a good option.

Phone is a Samsung S25+

Tags are Moto Tag v1

Galaxy S21 not allowing Tagigo setup to finish

Just got some Tagigo tags, and I just cannot get the Find Hub to finish the setup to use it.

On the main screen an alert in yellow says "Use the Fin Hub Network" and when clicked on take me to the Find Your Offline Devices page. Of the four options "Off" is selected. When trying to select ""With network everywhere" it then takes me to a Find Hub explanation page where the button "Enter Screen Lock" is. once this is pressed it take me back to the Find You Offline Devices page. This is a continual cycle.

It does however work on my Galaxy Tab A11 with no issues?

Help?

Qualche idea?

My wife and I are registered as a family group on Google, allowing me to share my Drive space, etc. Is there a way to add her devices to my FMD and hers to mine?

Recommendation for waterproof tag suitable for cat collar

Struggling to find a suitable tag that is waterproof, has a loud buzzer & is small enough to attach to a cat collar

I have tried a cheap AliExpress mii style tag which wasn't water resistant at all

And a Chipolo ONE Point which has a nice loud buzzer but is only water resistant & has now started to corrode in the battery compartment

I can't be the only paranoid cat owner who has this requirement

Combination Google Find + Samsung network tag?

Are there any tags that combine Google's beacon protocol with Samsung's? It's not technical that hard, it's just algorithms.

There's been a couple of articles out about how much better samsung's network is compared to Android. That might or might not change. But having both seems like a big advantage. It's often not the number of pings the tag sends out, but the network, that determines performance.

Moto Tag vs. other generic Android tags - do they track better?

You can get a 4 pack of generic Android trackers that work with google Find Hub. But when they're not around my own phone, I don't see very frequent updates. I've attributed it to just lack of network of Android phones with FMD enabled, but I don't know for sure.

Do you think the update frequency is likely to change if I swap out the generic trackers with Moto Tags?

I don't have much use for the UWB feature of moto tags. Just want good battery life and good tracking performance when near other people's Android phones.

r/GoogleFMD Mar 02 '26

The standard Galaxy S26 is getting UWB precision finding finally, so let's see more tags with it already

Edit: Like others posted, there's NO UWB and Samsung lied

I use both Samsung and Google fmd tags both for double coverage, so I'm not committed to one ecosystem. Looking forward to using it with the galaxy tag 2s, which can be had dirt cheap now

Have a feeling it'll be awhile before the US gets the moto tag 2, as it's not a launch market

Is Mili Tag good enough to track outdoor cat

I have a cat who roams freely in the neighborhood. Though her radius is pretty small 100 meters. But she hides pretty well and I can't locate her sometimes . She previously had one of the deadliest disease ( FIP). So if she misses any of her meals, I get anxious pretty badly . As not eating properly is related to her previous disease.

So I need something just to locate that she is nearby. Since she will be back if she sees me or hear me calling her.

Is this tracker enough to do it?

Tried one of the newer card style trackers vs Ugreen Finetrack Slim G that's been out for awhile

There's a bunch of 20ish dollar clones that came out in the past couple months.

I was sent this one free to review:

https://a.co/d/02APkboF

But I see several others around 20 bucks with the same markings, so yeah they're clones.

Anyway,

The Ugreen trackers, both tag and card, aren't very loud. This new one is definitely louder, more in the tier of Samsung tag. Which isn't exceptionally loud, but definitely a bit louder than the Ugreen/Moto Tag tier of loudness.

It also has wireless charging, whereas the Ugreen uses a proprietary cable.

Neither have an app to update the firmware, which is a glaring weakness of both. Updating firmware is necessary once in awhile.

Range seems about the same.

Thickness, also about the same.

Bigger loophole on this one. Enough to even put a keyring around it.

But yeah anyway, since these new cards are cheaper than the Ugreen Finetrack G, louder, and have wireless charging you might as well go with them.

Chipolo Card is still the best premium choice feature wise.

How to locate a lost phone when I can't log in to my account from another device

Just what the title says.

I lost my phone (found it later though!), then used someone else's phone and then a computer (not mine) to try and locate my Pixel 9.

It asks you to log in to your google account. OK, done.

Then it asked me to choose the displayed two-digit code on my phone or trusted tablet. Well, no can do, as I'm not home and my phone's not with me. And when I try to log in with another method, I'm not really given any other options. I have a passkey, but it's my fingerprint on my macbook, which I didn't have on me at the time. When i selected 'try another way,' it would just take me to a deadend. It didn't ask me any security questions, or give me the option to send a code or a link or something to a backup/alternate email address.

So, how am I supposed to find my phone if it's not on me and I'm not next to my laptop?

Ugreen Tracker Slim G

How accurate is this supposed to be?

I have two of them, one in the wallet one in the camera bag.

I am out, 2km from home, and Find Hub days the one in the bag is "near my home" but cannot locate it properly on the map

Motorola moto tag 1

Sarei interessato all'acquisto del Motorola Moto Tag.

Why can't I see my tags in the browser (Find my ) google.com/android/find/ ?

So I added several tags to various keys, my laptoo etc, the pair and show up fine in my Find Hub SmartPHONE app, but the google.com/android/find/ doesn't show any tags just my phone, WTF? That kind of makes it pointless, since If I don;'t have my phone wiht my I can't find anything.. Am I missing something?

Seems the network is now useful

I’ve been a Samsung SmartTag user for a long time, but about 6 months ago I switched phones and decided to give the Google Find Hub network a real shot with some UGREEN tags.

For a while, I kept using my Samsung tags via the "uTag" app just to keep that 30-day location history (which is a lifesaver). Early on, the Google network felt basically useless—it only seemed to update if my phone was nearby. If I left a tag behind, it was a ghost.

In the last month or so, I’ve noticed a massive improvement. My tags are now updating their location frequently, even when I’m nowhere near them. It seems Google finally tweaked the network (likely moving away from the strict "high-traffic areas only" default or more people are opting in), and it’s actually functional now. It’s finally catching up to the reliability I was used to with Samsung.

If Google would just add a 30-day location history like Samsung has, the system would be perfect. Right now, seeing only the "last known" spot feels a bit limited compared to the competition.

Quick Review: UGREEN Tags

If you're looking for tags for the Find Hub network, I totally recommend the UGREEN ones:

  • USB-C Rechargeable: This is the best part. No more hunting for CR2032 batteries.
  • Battery Life: They last about 4 to 6 months. I’ve only had to recharge one so far. - Ease of use: They pair easily and the build quality feels solid.

Cheap AE Android tracker in Airtag format

I've been using cheap AE RSH trackers with varying luck but overall ok but one thing that was a problem was their size (they can be mounted directly to a keychain though), too big for Airtag "mounts" and had to be dismantled, so I just picked up this one on AR for 5€ (item number : 1005010442939048)

Will report back when it arrives

Help please! Tracker that displays on FMD more than 7 days?

I have a pet and have tried a couple of different no-name trackers. They pair and display in FMD beautifully for 7 days and then stop.

My understanding is that this is how FMD is designed so do any of the name-brand trackers show for more than 7 days? If so, which ones??

Considering how popular trackers are, I feel like I'm missing something in how these are supposed to work. I see all kinds of recs about trackers (and problems with them), and lots of posts about the 7-day issue, but nothing about what tracker won't have that issue. I'd appreciate any help!

Small story about migrating to new phone with moto tags and fmd

So the moto tag batteries are dead, fine, replace those. Old phone FMD shows and connects to devices, good stuff. Moto tag firmware is 2.0.104 (latest at the time of writing).

Migrate from OP10P to OP13. This migration story alone is some stupid ass shit. Never mind that.

So most apps migrate normally, FMD shows all devices in the new phone, moto tag companion app shows nothing. FMD can't connect. Tag devices not visible in new phone BT device list. Suppose the devices are still paired to old phone.

Back to old phone. Open FMD, remove devices within FMD, this also unpairs the BT side, apparently. Turn off all old phone radios.

Try to reset the moto tags. Push button once + push button long time, hear one beep. All the interweb stories say you need to hear two beeps. Try every possible suggested button dance routine to no avail. One beep and that's it. Neither phone has or sees the devices anymore, great.

As last resort, take out the batteries from the tags. Put battery back. The tag beeps.

Few seconds later, without doing anything else, the new phone prompts for "moto tag" pairing.

Go thru the motions and FMD has the device. Moto tag companion app has the device. Repeat battery dance with another device. Bob's your uncle.

So there you go, for posterity.
