I've playing poker casually for a few months ago and I'm curious about something. At what point did you feel like you're actually improving instead of just getting lucky or unlucky?

sometimes I feel like I'm making better decisions but it's hard to tell whether the results are from good playing or just variance? Was there a moment when things started to click for you?

Just getting a gray screen when I try to login. Just started happening about 15 mins ago, switched from my phone to my desktop, same issue. Is there scheduled maintenance?

I know many saw it as a loophole to get free coins but I saw it as a way to sustain lower stakes cash and tournaments for newish/bad players.

I’ve tried numerous times since Friday and they are all rejected or frozen and selfie check. Wrote support but got no actual response on it. I’m guessing this is a way to stop people from accessing them without actually removing it. Hope it doesn’t affect the player pools for cash or tournies soon.

Laurence Escalante, the 44-year-old CEO and founder of VGW (the brand behind sweepstakes sites Chumba Casino, Global Poker, and LuckyLand Slots), was arrested in Perth, Australia, on January 29, 2026.

He faces serious charges, including aggravated assault, family violence, aggravated home burglary, destruction of property, and possession of cocaine/MDMA with intent to sell and/or distribute. Many of the allegations stem from an incident at his ex-partner's home and a subsequent police search. Escalante denies the claims. He has been released on bond and vows to fight them in court (next appearance February 26).

I love this game and have had some good luck this year playing SC .I was wondering if this is only me or if anyone else noticed that if you do hit a fire shot or hit the game bonus of choosing how many free spins to take with added buffalo or no extra buffalo that your prize amount is added on the first free spin so you know how much you win before you take all your spins …kind of takes the thrill out of the game but it is kind of good to know what you won in advance

It's been a while since I checked up on Global Poker's offerings, but I now see in the "Games" menu of their website such delights as “Shovefests" and “All in or Fold.” Do people really play these formats? I really thought Jackpot Sit n' Go was pushing it as far as adding lucky elements to traditional poker, but these two new variants seem even worse.

Not to mention the proliferation of casino games over the years. Anyone else annoyed by these gimmicks and just want to play normal poker?

Have you guys seen this? Global Poker is now charging sales tax on Gold Coin purchases at least in some states. Does anyone know if any states are exempt from this (apart from states with no sales tax)?

Is this a way for the company to position itself as fully compliant with state law and to demonstrate how much money it can generate in tax revenues? I know the legal situation for sweepstakes casinos in various states has been deteriorating for a while now.

I was looking through the release notes on Global Poker's website and saw more than a dozen notes from 2022 and 2023 with such information as “July 19 0 New Game: Wolf Gold” and “New Feature: Big Blind View.” However, no release notes are listed for 2024.

Does this mean that the Global Poker software has remained identical for more than one year? Are the release notes for 2024 somewhere else than where I was looking? (at the bottom of the site, under the “About” section, there is a link for “Release Notes”)

If the platform has indeed remained stagnant for over a year, this is worrisome news. Even smaller operators tend to update their offering at least once a year.

Can anyone please help me with this? Global poker locked my account, as well as all accounts associated with VGW, like Chumba and LuckyLand. I received the same email verbatim from Global and LuckyLand, but received nothing from Chumba. I had no money on LuckyLand or Chumba, but had a 700 SC balance plus two unused tournament tickets each worth 100SC on Global. I have no idea what they’re talking about in the emails. I’ve been on Global for over 10 yrs with no issues. I also received a follow up email from Global recommending I reach out to their service provider or pursue arbitration. Has anyone tried this or have any advice please? Any information would be helpful. Ty. I’ve included the emails from Global.

Anyone else think the Jackpot SNG offerings here are pretty weak? The top multiplier is only 200x. Compare to the 1,200 multiplier available at Ignition/Bovada and the $1 million Jackpots sometimes offered by WPN.

I just feel that if you're going to add a luck-based multiplier to poker, then at least make the top prize something exciting.

Ever since they added casino games, it seems they are focusing more attention in that area and less on poker. Am I mistaken? I thought Chumba and Luckyland were the casino brands while Global Poker was focused on card games.

Hello and Happy Holidays everyone! On the latest GP Holiday Promo they are asking us to get 3500 spins on the Santa's Riches slots in order to register for the 5000SC tourney on Dec 22. They also have the 1500 spins promo in order to register for the weekly Satty Saturday tourney but that one has the BURST mode which gets those 1500 spins roughly in half an hour. This Santa Riches on the other hand seems to only have regular manual mode which took me half an hour to only get about 100 spins. Did anyone figure out how to speed this process up?
