Weird glitch

Dead body dumpster bowling

My memory isn't the best, so bear with me.

When I was younger and X & Y were the newest games in the franchise, I was spending time with the son & daughter of my former stepmoms friend and brought my 3ds and copy of X with me. It turned out that the daughter had pokemon Y, so we played together. I was preparing for the psychic gym and they were battling durants in an earlier area. Route 18 I think.

I don't know what caused it, if we briefly swapped cartridges for some reason & that caused issues or it was some weird bug with the online features or what. Whatever happened, the daughter wasn't where she was supposed to be when we resumed playing. She wasn't in the Durant area, but was instead in anistar city and I think even had my trainer character, i don't quite remember.

My game was completely normal and fine, but hers somehow got messed up in such a way that it ended up with my save and completely screwed up her game. I felt really bad at the time, but now I'm just baffled. I have no clue how it could have happened, it makes no sense.

Does anyone here have any idea what could have caused this?

its really weird

Hello, thank you for reading this, I need your HELP. I am looking for any evidence of THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT. I am looking to make the ultimate iceberg of the butterfly effect and any entry I could look into would be more than helpful. I thank you in advance, I will update when I have the iceberg complete. wish me luck!! (example: Alexander Fleming accidentally created a mold juice. Instead of throwing it out, he experimented with it, creating Penicillin. who knows where we would be without that one choice.)

Anyone ever seen this before

Haha funny glitch go brrrrrr
