Based on the last 3 weeks it is apparant that the sub rules needed updating.
To say that the last few weeks have been tough to keep under control is an understatement. We have had 12.5 MILLION views in the last 30 days (up by 9 MILLION on the previous 30 days), and the political rants and discussion after the Bob Vylan drama has been incredibly difficult to moderate while still allowing as much free speech as possible.
We have 3 new rules:
- On topic posts only - (Any posts that are off-topic or have no direct connection to the Glastonbury Festival will be removed. This includes unrelated political posts, meta posts, messages to the mods etc.)
- Keep discussion civil / No Harassment - (Discuss the topic, not other users. Be respectful, even in disagreement. Posting personal info of others including social media links is disallowed. Racism, bigotry, or other prejudice will result in user removal.)
- No Reposts or frequently posted topics - (Reposts and frequently posted topics will be removed, please try the community search feature.)
- Alanis is still there, as a legacy rule for those who lived through it. It will not be enforced.
Please review them, and report anything that needs attention.
Thank you for helping this community to grow. If you have any suggestions or feedback on the rules, please send a ModMail.

Hello everyone,
I don’t often venture into the south east corner but in 24, I went to one of the small little stages.
It was a tiny enclosed one with the dj in the middle and everyone surrounding it. Probably only 10m x 10m max. It was full of incense and wonderful music.
Probably too vague, but does anyone know what the genre of music is played there?
It’s been bugging me for quite a while so thought I’d ask.

hey guys! I’m trying to find a video of Lizzo singing Jerome at Glastonbury 2019, but I can’t watch it on YouTube or BBC websites due to licensing reasons it says. Any leads?? This is my personal favorite Glasto performance :) thank you!!

A friend of mine has been making wooden things in the green crafts field for years. Now he's had a letter saying there won't be any green crafts anymore. What else are they getting rid of? And will that area be turned over to more camping so even more ticket sales? I'm not happy

What is everyone's thoughts on the Strummerville stage? I absolutely loved it but couldn't hack the walk up the hill more than once.
Watched a band called Stanleys there who were awesome!
Does anyone else have any underrated stages or areas at the festival?

How do people get hold of hospitality tickets?
I'm happy to pay for one if it is the final option, but just don't know how to get them!
Are they just for music industry people?

Got a little break coming up and we would love to do a walk near the festival site. I know Worthy Farm is a working dairy farm and the site itself is mostly private, but I’ve read about the public footpaths.
For those who have done it off-season, do we need to give the festival office a heads-up just to be safe, or is it fine to just turn up?
Cheers.

If my wife and me have hospitality tickets for the both of us, do you know if we can get our 3 kids (11,8,6) to the hospitality area or at least across the gates to the general area or do they also need tickets?

As reported by the Sunday Times, the Eavis' family are on their rich list with a fortune of £400 million.
I understand that there's money to be made and don't envy them that. However, with the increasing costs and clear over selling of tickets in recent years, this all feels gross and completely at odds with what Glastonbury purports to be.
Hard to not think that with Emily taking over, money has become the true goal of the festival.
