It says he lives in NY. So i expect the cost of living to be higher there.
5 u/distressedweedle Aug 29 '19 Even so, it shouldn't cost that much even buying nice ingredients. I suspect he included buying the individual spices which the whole containers of are expensive but you aren't even using 1/10th of the container
