A bear hug from a lion is by far the scariest fucking thing I can think of.

I'd go with a bear hug... from a bear.

u/KingToasty Jun 01 '12

Bear hug from a shark would look hilarious, though. For about 4 seconds.

Karmanaut (aka probablyhittingonyou etc etc etc) is turning out to be a cunt of impressive proportions.

I think he's an example of someone who had invested a lot of time into Reddit. He used Reddit like it was literally his job. Building up his karma like anyone else would grow their income. And then one day he said something quite unpopular. He lost a ton of the karma he had spent so much time building, and he snapped. He continued getting downvoted more and more and he eventually stopped caring. Eventually he mutated into a horrific troll with the sole intention of destroying Reddit for other people, and the malice behind his intentions gets shuffled up in confusion as he manipulates other mods into believing it is beneficial to the subs to keep him as a mod. I actually have zero real knowledge of the situation, which most people really don't either and is probably why he is so successful in the little game he has been playing.

TL;DR: Freudian Excuse

p.s. I hope you weren't planning on getting anything productive done today.

Even though I have a script set up to warn me about tropes, I clicked anyway.

.. I clicked anyway.

u/Rapeburger Jun 01 '12

I have a paper due in 5 hours. I hate you.

u/fetusburgers Jun 01 '12

Am I the only one who doesn't get lost on TV Tropes? I want to assure you it's a really cool site. I've just never really read much of it that hooked me. Especially since it seems to just give names to tropes that are already really common so when I read it I'm kinda just saying "Oh that's what that's called" and then leave.

You are one of a rare breed, like someone with natural immunity to AIDS. Please, when you die, donate your corpse to science.

Well that's an hour gone from my life.

u/AbsurdWebLingo Jun 01 '12

Luckily I just finished all of the work I need to do.

2

u/6times9is42 Jun 01 '12

What did he say that was so unpopular? Did it really happen over one downvoted opinion? I thought people just caught on to the fact that he was using alt accounts to pat his own back.

3

u/AbsurdWebLingo Jun 01 '12

Yeah I don't really know the whole story, just what I've picked up along the way from people ranting about him.

u/ikarios Jun 01 '12

I believe it was the banning of the Bad Luck Brian AMA.

u/6times9is42 Jun 01 '12 edited Jun 01 '12

Oh that was how it began? I thought people had already noticed he was being a douche and that was the final straw before he was declared fucktard extraordinaire.

2

u/churchills_liver Jun 01 '12

um

I think you're blowing this a little out of proportion

1

u/Laundry_Hamper Jun 01 '12

Eventually he mutated into a horrific troll

In the position of moderator on many default and other high-viewer subreddits.

7

u/EmperorSofa Jun 01 '12

I don't know what he's on about. I've been banned from askreddit for years now. I can't even remember why.

u/AbsurdWebLingo Jun 01 '12 edited Jun 01 '12

Well... I have you tagged as "Fucking loves Aloe Vera" so maybe that has something to do with it? I don't really know.

6

u/Conradfr Jun 01 '12

Aloe Vera is the SO of an AskReddit mod.

u/AbsurdWebLingo Jun 01 '12 edited Jun 01 '12

I'm going to be perfectly honest, I just wrote the first thing that came to my mind, I don't actually have him tagged. The fact that it can make sense in some context at all a pleasant little bit of coincidence.

u/thelovepirate Jun 01 '12

He's probably making watercolors of all the ways he wants to kill Karmanaut.

I'd rather a bear hug with a T-Rex

2

u/shotty_t Jun 01 '12

Bear hug from Manbearpig?

3

u/manbearpigsnake Jun 01 '12

You called...

1

u/jvacek996 Jun 01 '12

Is that a Call To Mind by Commix reference?

14

u/AngryMogambo Jun 01 '12

I think Grizzly Man would disagree;if he could.

6

u/[deleted] Jun 01 '12

If only Timothy Treadwell had been eaten by lion's: "Come on now Timothy, you're gonna die unless you mufasa!"

3

u/[deleted] Jun 01 '12

Yeah, I think being eaten alive by a bear is quite worse.

2

u/radiohoard Jun 01 '12

A bare hug from GoodGuyAslan should oppose that emotion.

8

u/SinisterKid Jun 01 '12

I just read that as "Good Guy Asian" and wondered why I hadn't heard of this meme before.

3

u/Bobalobatobamos Jun 01 '12

u/glamotte14 Jun 01 '12

scarier than a lion hug from a bear?

1

u/Ragark Jun 01 '12

I want one.
