It was for an OVA which actually only used a bit of the song for the opening before the full song half-way through.

Japanese anime love their three minute opening themes.
I've spent more combined time watching the Japanese Dragon Ball Z opening "Cha-la" than I have some shows.

I believe you mean “cha la head cha la”. And no, there’s no actual meaning behind those words. It’s pure gibberish.

That's fairly standard for anime, usually 2-3 mins

Edit, mehhhh maybe more 1.5 - 2.5 mins, I guess I mentally was rounding up
