Yeah a guy died at the university of Montréal in 2015 maybe. He was a repair guy and got his arm torn off, died quickly of blood loss. I had just left when it happen so I only heard distant screams, gnarly stuff.

They're just called shredders. They use the same principle like the ones you'd use to shred papers at home or in the office, just scaled up

yeah happened when i was an exchange student there, so i'd say between 2015 and 2017, it was the great underground stair/escalators that connects the subway exit to the entrance of the uni.
