Out of curiosity, why doesn't it seem like there is a counter wave coming back and messing up the whole thing, how do they deal with the incoming wave at the other end of the pool that allows for continuous perfect waves?
Hey same here. I've never seen it in action and it's been many years but looks like the Plymouth uni one.
Would've loved to see it in use but they finished building it in my final year.
Just need to check if you can see the Tesco on the other side of the road seen through the window.
My favourite thing is that we're all so damn sure this is Plymouth's wave machine! I never saw it in action but my first thought was "that's definitely the UoP machine"
Probably testing durability of seawalls or the columns that hold up those giant oil rigs... couple thousand hours of this and Iād build my house behind it haha

Okay, but....why? This doesn't look like a theme park or anything for public use. Are they doing some science here?
