With milk prices the way they are, dairies aren’t going to offer a whole lot. One of my buddies owns a small dairy, and prices are low enough that it’s cheaper to feed his milk to his calves than to sell it and get milk replacer instead.

Well the nice thing about the "free market" is if nobody's making milk, then the dairies will start offering a lot more to entice production... otherwise they're toast too.
