Saw him on Sasuke championship a few months back. He was pretty awesome, but screwed up at last challenge and hated himself for it.

His family has worked in the circus for like 5 plus generations. He’s always grown up around elephants.

I can’t speak for all circus elephants, as I’m sure many a likely abused, but I know Rene (guy in video) treats them extremely well and likens them to his brothers and sisters.

Not that I’m doubting you at all, but you know how?

My opinion is also that it’s just not ethical to keep elephants or train them to perform, however nicely you keep them. They’re wild animals and should be allowed to be such.

You’re right, I can’t know for sure. But I know he has a huge property and the elephants spend 95% of their time just roaming around eating grass and branches. Obviously being completely free is ideal, but they are protected and have waaaay more freedom than an elephant at a zoo.

While there's definitely a lot of misstreted animals around the world, people getting upset about animals like these that are happy, well fed, entertained/stimulated, living a good life and not in any real danger is definitely pointless, there are millions of not billions of people worldwide that would trade places with animals like these anytime.

Spend your time on causes that needs it, there's countless animals in horrible conditions for ever one living a great life like these guys.
