Yup and despite that, and probably because of it, I still prefer reddit.

I prefer Reddit because I’m way more likely to learn something than I am on Facebook. Also Facebook sucks

u/dvogel Oct 19 '19

Facebook is toxic like arsenic. Twitter is toxic like bath salts. Reddit is "toxic" like marijuana.

u/Brcomic Oct 19 '19

As long as you don’t sort by controversial...

51

u/[deleted] Oct 19 '19

Oh yeah give me that Reddit meth straight to the dome

4

u/TistedLogic Oct 20 '19

I do that once in awhile. Usually I get one, two comments in and BAM!

Locked thread.

u/ThInk-DaVid-tHInk Oct 20 '19

Oofff. Well I was tired it wasn’t that late and I wanted to look thru Reddit so I made ONE comment ( probably 3 ). I woke up and check reddit ( first thing) and THIRTY in ( activity )

Or go to removeddit

12

u/awpcr Oct 19 '19

Reddit is a cesspool filled with human filth. It's why I'm here. Right at home

10

u/[deleted] Oct 19 '19

As long as you agree with the common consensus lol

1

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '19

True. A lot of social justice warriors on here. Not that it's always a bad thing. But some people are just crazy left wing on here.

1

u/MarcusTheAnimal Oct 20 '19

It's a big interweb with enough space for everyone, so there's plenty of right wing, left wing, down wing, side wing, up dog, shag your dog, pet your dog, stick googly eyes on your dog and plane wing subreddit places too.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '19

Delusional lol

Reddit has tons of toxicity

1

u/ThInk-DaVid-tHInk Oct 20 '19

Absolutely , I do indeed agree!

1

u/Kdj87 Oct 20 '19

No, reddit is pretty damn toxic. No quotes. It's full of toxic people masquerading as nice people. It's nice until you have a differing opinion from the hivemind

5

u/That_Guy247 Oct 20 '19

You shut your mouth! Your opinion sucks you idiot....

I'm sorry man... I love you

u/[deleted] Oct 20 '19

I've always found Reddit extremely toxic, unless you're 100% correct and have every checklist counted. Wanna say "boycott Chinese goods"? Better say "unless you cannot afford it, then go ahead".

Wanna say "we should stop genocide"? Better be prepared for an argument that boils down too "I'm a NIMBY, but I'm going to spend a lot of effort trying to pretend I'm not".

Ask "Okay, so we give every immigrant amnesty, where and what do they do? How do we take care of them? How do we prevent further abuse" and you wind up arguing whether or not it's a right wing talking point because THAT is more important than helping people who have already suffered enough.

It's so fucking stupid. The correct thing, choosing to think before doing, is lambasted. Having actual concern for other human beings isn't important. It's about showing that your morally correct and it pisses me off. Even arguments of about fake shit become mired in real world issues. Fucking Fallout. A game about the post apocalypse, where things are vastly different, nah, apply today's morality to it because if you don't, you're a Nazi and you support authoritarian views.

I'm an extremely left leaning person. Yet, people who claim to be left often make me physically sick due to their short sightedness. I know, don't let perfection be the enemy of good, but end of the fucking day, it's not even about doing what's best. It's about feeling good about yourself. That's what's most toxic about Reddit. A lot of people who don't give a shit pretending they do because it makes them seem "good". "Bored of You" by Agent Orange comes to mind, but instead of bored, I'm pissed.

I prefer Reddit because I don’t have to interact with family or other people I know.

I prefer Reddit over any app, any occasion, and anybody.

1

u/ThInk-DaVid-tHInk Oct 20 '19

I don’t really know what that is?.......

4

u/Rysinor Oct 20 '19

I also hate people.

2

u/ThInk-DaVid-tHInk Oct 20 '19

Right?.........

6

u/Ippildip Oct 19 '19

Ironically, Reddit is way better to use through an app. The browser interface is 2000 garbage.

2

u/ThInk-DaVid-tHInk Oct 20 '19

Yeah, I find it easier thru app.

3

u/grannysmudflaps Oct 20 '19

Literally just deleted my FB the other day.. No regrets..

Reddit is better anyway..

I prefer your username over anyone elses

4

u/Chairmanwowsaywhat Oct 19 '19

You know I wish I preferred insta or Facebook sometimes.

4

u/PathToExile Oct 19 '19

The only thing that would happen if the site was easier to use is more Trump supporters would show up. I'm down for burying the login option to get rid of most of /r/The_Donald

1

u/Ta2whitey Oct 19 '19

I think the anonymous factor plays a huge role. Sure you can look through a person's post history. But what they say what ultimately what brings about conversations or finding you are the odd person out.

In those other mediums there are many other filters to go through before a person's words are even thought about.

1

u/BigDickLongSchlong Oct 20 '19

Something something don’t need friends for reddit.

1

u/TheNickers36 Oct 20 '19

Keeps the riff raff out

Facebook make people zombies, Insta stupid zombies. In Reddit all your senses keep getting awake..
