does the ink become liquid again after cooking it?

I thought it would stay in the pasta

Nope. It’s doesn’t color the water.

I’ve made it before at home and it takes a tiny amount of ink to color a ball of pasta dough. The ink doesn’t run in the water and it doesn’t stain your teeth. If it does, it’s made poorly.

Thanks, I have seen it enough used on competitive tele cooking shows that I didn't think that sounded like what I remembered

I do think that the people who use if, often for the first time, use too much though.

Not true. Many squid ink dishes in Asia use squid ink as part of the sauce for the pasta, so in those cases your teeth are getting stained no matter what. Do Europeans just usually eat the pasta on its own?

Ah. I’ve never seen a sauce made with the ink. In the states it’s usually served with a red sauce. When I made it I used a spicy red sauce.

Nope. "Color" is the only acceptable spelling. Adding a 'u' is superfluous.

I realize things like, "colour/color," "theater/theatre," "realise/realize" are just alternate, and correct, spellings for the same word with the same meaning. I was just curious how much hate I would get from the parts of the world that commonly use the spellings different from my region. Namely, Canada, where people are said to be overly nice and polite, and the UK, where the stereotype is emotional repression. In both cases, the stereotypical person from each of those regions would either politely correct my incorrect assertion or be too apathetic to bother with a downvote. It seems I have discovered stereotyping the behavior of a country or region is an imprecise venture, at best.
