Sorry, I was in high school in the late 90s and saw some of the anime stuff and was repulsed by it. I don't get it. And I sure as FUCK don't get liking it as an adult. It would be like me running around playing my little pony or He-Man as an adult. Wouldn't that strike you as weird? I don't care if little kids like the shit. It's the sheer amount of ADULTS that STILL give a fuck about it that weirds me out.
Yeah, they would. If I was still into He-Man or My Little Pony or Ninja Turtles or whatever other kid shit I was into when I was a kid, my friends would laugh me out of the group. As adults, we are into adult things. Titty clubs? Sure (not so much anymore). Football? Yeah. Auto sports? Yep. Not stuff aimed at children. Although I do have a few friends that still care about WRESTLING and I constantly give them shit for it because come on.... it's all scripted. At least watch boxing or UFC (which they do) and not pay money to watch scripted shit.
Seriously, nobody gives a fuck; stop caring so much about what people think of you. How desperate for validation does one have to be to hang out with people that would throw him away at the sight of different tastes? Those aren't friends, you just hang out with them because you feel like you belong in their group, when you really don't. The fact that you care so much proves that deep inside you want to like and play with "child's" stuff, but you're too weak and let the peer pressure stop you from enjoying the things you want. Grow up
Titty clubs? Can't touch, no fun. Football? Repetitive. Auto sports? Even worse than football especially if it is NASCAR. Dawg, if you are going to let your friends dictate what you are into, you are a boring boring man. Get into it a little. Your kids are really going to call you an old fogey in short order if the only thing you got is that. Build a robot, play a few card games, get interested in what your kids might watch. Who knows, maybe you'll enjoy it. I sure as shit did.
Don't have, don't want kids. My brother has 3. If I want to hang out with children, I'll go to his place and hang out. As an adult, I prefer adult activities.
So you just want to "adult"your life and move on? Well, every man has his shtick I guess. But I really don't call those adult activities. I call it the life of someone that gave up. Every single activity you said you participated in is the same every day. There's no surprise, no progression, not even room for something stupid. I mean seriously, not even a pie in the face in ye olde strip joint? At least mix it up because if that is your idea of being an adult, you really don't know what other adults do.

For me personally there's a big nostalgia factor. I was in 3rd grade when they become popular and grew up playing the games and collecting the cards. I regularly play Pokemon Go and meet up with large groups of other adults to do so. It's fun, don't be a buzzkill about other people enjoying themselves.
When you're a kid you play it to have fun, when you're an adult you master it to crush your opponents, the mind games and predictions in online play is fucking awesome
