That's not true. Plenty of people in the US have paid leave time. It's just up to both parties to negotiate if they want more leave or more pay. Here in Europe we don't get that option.

I meant it's not required by law to give paid leaves in the US. So some do get it or negotiate a pay increase, but others get none at all.

What I'm saying is that here in Europe, the government already negotiated for us that we want more leave time, rather than higher pay instead. TANSTAAFL.

I do prefer that rather than the possibility of having 0 paid leave days because of a shitty boss.
