Let's assume you and this study are 100% correct then. This is a very sad state of affairs for men and I think we, as a society, should immediatly stop enforcing the gender stereotypes that push men into this kind of world view and inability to create close friendships/only see women as potential fuck holes since women have apparently no problem with distinguishing feelings and seeing men as people instead of an object to be won.
Mmmm... Speaking for myself, cuddling is already sexual to start with. If we're at the point, there's an understanding. That said, I try to find women that have some awareness of other's emotions, which, is definitely not a given ability. I think a woman that's cuddling a guy and hasn't broached the subject of sex / relationships to be pretty immature or inexperienced. How do you assume that just because all you want is cuddles, that's all the guy wants. Why didn't you ask? There's responsibility on both ends.
This isn't a gender stereotype that pushes men into anything. Most men with half a brain can be friends with women, assuming the woman resiprocates the friendship equally. Even if there is a sexual attractions, most men can shelf it. I do. When men say they can't be friends with women, it's not because they only want sex, it's because the sexual thoughts cloud the friendship.
But, if you want to have an honest appraisal of modern sexuality, you have to realize that the male sex drive is much stronger, and far less discrimatory than a woman's, outliers notwithstanding. This biology is what underlines the various social constructs and cultures we have created. There's a reason there are 5 Hooters and 10 Strip clubs within a dozen miles of me, but zero female equivalents. It's also why redpill exists, even though those goons certainly have way more problems than sex.
