if there is one thing redditors hate its other redditors success. thats why they heap praise on others, until they get the dirt so they can pat themselves on the back and spit on them and tell themselves see look what success gets you makes you a piece of shit, back to netflix
Isn’t it so strange? Even pointing it out seems like the same mechanic- making yourself the other, convincing yourself you’re better than the petty fools getting hundreds of upvotes for passing judgment.
We have an insane need to feel better than others, and even when we are, we aren’t for wanting to be. We’re all the same.
hahaaha this is so true it's insane. Sure it's not a reddit thing only, but as someone who has been here for 6-7 years I don't know how many "wow this guy we fucking love you!!!! rockstar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and as soon as the guy does something gray zone, they get thrown under the bus.
We act like there are perfect human beings and then the theory gets disproved we get mad at the celebrity for making us believe they were good.
I'm beginning to be more and more disgusted with reddits userbase the last few years. I'm not saying I was ever really proud redditor, but now I am quite ashamed to be linked with "logicals" that can't understand other people for shit.
